Check out the vintage slo-mo on youtube; he got everything he needed to get done, before the follow-through. It was only the abbreviated follow-through (due to a bad back) that makes him look ungainly. Otherwise he was rock-solid.

Arnold was stack and tilt this BS that someone has come up with that swing concept recently is BSing. And Palmer'a left arm and shoulder plane were almost identical at the top. The only part of Palmers swing that would cause the untrained eye or a non-professional to make a comment like yours is Palmer's helicopter finish.

Palmer's swing was solid and powerful.
