  • James Burton on Tele & Delaney bramlett on Bass and , I think, Don preston on Guitar

  • I think I'm gonna vomit those beatle Wana bees

  • OOps this is an episode from the Decemberl 1965 on Shindigs Goes to London Part 2 They even state before singing, this is a Beatles Song.

  • By the way this video is from the show Shindigs the Beatles were guess on the show they had asked permission to perform this song.

  • Delaney Bramlett, Glen D. Hardin and James Burton, it'd be pretty hard to beat that line up!

    Thanks for sharing.

    See ya'

  • john lennon and paul mccartney wrote this song they stole it

  • Is this the beatles song?

  • The Beatles stole this!!!!!!

  • @Dodo251 The Beatles stole a lot of songs.

  • @Kangaxxter Beatles wrote and released this in 1964

  • @cockylachy

    OH REALLY?

So why does the "Ticket to Ride" page on wikipedia say "recorded 15 February 1965" and released 9 April 1965"? I suppose they're just lying then?

  • @Kangaxxter John Lennon, Paul McCartney were under contract which to allow anyone of the same musical label as their, sing their songs before they were officially released.

  • @caprice6

That may be true, but since The Shindogs were never signed to Parlophone, Capitol, or Apple records (the ONLY record labels the Beatles were signed to), I question that statement's relevance.

  • @Kangaxxter Granted, Shindogs were a group form from the TV show Shindigs, they did invite the Beatles on the show, they may have asked permission to use their music before it was officially released.

  • @caprice6

What is with people making statements they can't back up or are blatantly untrue?

I have nothing against the Beatles, but here you guys are just lying to protect a band that hasn't been around for forty years. As long as you fail to provide where these claims are coming from, I'm going to keep calling bullshit on them.

  • @Kangaxxter also possible that video date is wrong should be 1966

  • Comment removed

  • @Kangaxxter Beatles been around for 46 years. Shindogs were a manufacture band created by the show Shinding.

  • @caprice6

Again, unsubstantiated claims. You can't prove this video is from 1966, nor can you prove that the Shindogs ever played again.

I will say this; I never said *this song* was stolen. Dodo251 did and retracted his statement. I have just been calling out all the bullshitters who posted comments.

And I also know the reason why the Shindogs can perform this Beatles song, without Lennon being "insanely furious". But all the answers people have been giving, including yours, are bullshit.

  • @Kangaxxter I think John Lennon given them permission to play his song without thief I defending John Lennon and the Beatles not this group, yes this Shindog is very active, still playing, they have official website, tours.

  • @Kangaxxter I think whoever posted this make mistake of the date. Why would I bother prove one way or another?

  • @caprice6

John Lennon didn't need to give the Shindogs permission. The Shindig! was not subject to British Copyright Law until the American Copyright Act of 1976. This performance was filmed in the spring of 1965, after The Beatles released it. Epstein couldn't sue them because of copyright laws in the United States.

So shut your fucking mouth about things you don't know about.

  • @Kangaxxter Shindogs worked for Shindigs were manufacture from this show, they were hired individually. This show is from Shindig episode which was 1966.

  • @Kangaxxter my point exactly Shindog did not steal it.

  • @Kangaxxter Win tickets to see James Burton in Liverpool 2010 type his name in google search find his official website.

  • @Dodo251 No they didn't, they wrote this, and The shindogs later did a cover of it.

  • @thetruefreak678 I know, I was just kidding. I'm a big Beatles fan.

  • This takes me back to my childhood.

  • Wow just as good as the Beagles.

  • I remember the early '70's, The Palomino Club, North Hollywood. Burton and I'd sit at the back bar drinking beers, talking guitars and Shindig...I tried to get him to sell me the red Tele. He'd laugh. "Oh no, can't do that,' he'd say... Very nice guy. Very down to earth...

  • Glen Hardin on keyboards, Burton on lead guitar...both later in Elvis's band..

  • @Rowlandph I was about to say "Thats James Burton" !

  • yes, James Burton.

  • IS that James Burton on guitar?

  • That's Delaney Bramlett on bass and singing the high harmony...and they're playing the wrong chords in the bridge

  • Was that Billy Preston on the piano in that last shot at the left on the very end of this video?...

  • yes, this was Billy Preston

  • @nyrainbow2

That is also James Burton on lead guitar (Ricky Nelson, Elvis and others).

  • Imranino---if memory serves me right, the Shindogs were the house band for Shindig----and by definition, housebands pretty much do nothing but covers...... By the way, Delaney Bramlett got his "breakthrough" start with this band...

  • "we promised you the beatles, but these guys were way cheaper!" sorry don't mean to offend... just don't understand how or why a band would play a song note for note that isn't theirs and get on TV

  • Because they were the house band for the show. And they had the infamous James Burton on guitar.

  • ah ok thanks that makes a lot of sense

  • I hope you mean famous, and not infamous?

  • Well yeah but he does play a wicked guitar.

  • You are 100% correct about that!

  • they" asked them too, also joey and delaney enjoyed the beatles

  • This band also did a clever instrumental

    called "Station Break" that RODNEY

    BINGENHEIMER occasionally plays.

    Do you have "Station Break"?

  • Rest in peace, Delaney!

  • Thank You so very much nyrainbow!

  • Wow! That's my cousin Joe singin' with Delaney.

Joe, if you see this, I hope we can talk sometime soon!

    Duanes son

  • If Joey is your cousin you should have known that he passed away in June of 2008.

  • This is Joes daughter. How did you know my dad?

  • hes my dad also.you are?? i am the first one and son of GJC.I am here in austin doing the music thing also.and you are????

  • where are you ?

  • Joey Cooper passed away last year.

  • Actually, they do a really good job on this song

  • THe SHinDoGs take a "Ticket To Ride" and we are all the better for it.

  • Delaney Bramlett wailing and playing a Danelectro Longhorn -- it doesn't get any better than that.

  • The guy with the Tele isn't a bad picker either.

  • Who, Burton? Yeah, I think he knows his way around a fretboard. ;)

  • Amen!

Delaney's got a new Blues CD out on CD Baby.
