i'm glad you are thinking outside of the box but are also non-traditional holds: the first hold is reverse grip called "baliktad" as if you grab your stick or pull out of your scabbard immediately in that hold, holding the stick in the middle is called "bayo" grip which is effective in the middle to close range, the double-hand stick hold is used mainly with 4 ft stick used in Tapado and double hand hold at end is "bayonet" hold like Pekiti Tirsia Kali & used by law enforcement in riot control
@Narrison thanx for your input, I would imagine like your saying, when training in a certain style deep in enough, the ancestors have probably discovered just about everything that has to do with it. I myself cannot claim that I personally learned bayonet or reverse grip from the FMA. That would be a lie. My other message is to promote the importance of equality of other styles. All this really means is that my FMA background is not that in depth.
Your FMA discipline is unique, yet suprisingly effective, both in training & applications. I am now practicing some of what you showed (e.g. stick-chucks, the diff. types of figure 8's, diff. rhythm of the heaven 6, one of the single-stick combos you showed [sorry, can't remember the name XD], etc.), & I'm still learning from your shares. Greatly helped in my stick-knife art training indeed. A huge THANK YOUfor deciding to share your knowledge =3<3
@Loyal2law hey man, thanks for watching! always glad to see a talented open minded person who can cross train in different styles and appreciate different approaches! take care man
Unbreakable umbrella, your techniques, me feel better :)
Would be nice if you got such an umbrella and discovered some uses for it here on Youtube.
I can't judge how good your own learning is, but I can sure tell that you are a very good teacher.
