  • This Okra soup is not from Sierra Leone, no were in west Africa have i ever seen any one put bell peppers and spinach blended, may be Nigerian!! but not Sierra Leone Krio, Okra soup.....Chef Chic.

  • @toniandchick Okra like most other meals are cooked using different method all over Africa. This just one of the ways to prepare it. Thanks for watching and keep cooking!

  • Thanks for putting this video up. You are the only one I've found on YT who's made Okro soup this way (the Eastern Nigerian way), just the way I grew up eating it.   • Jesus, those Nigerians just love to mix seafood with meats! Why cant you eat them separately? What is OGBONO seeds?!

    1.The reason for the seafood-meat combo is the resulting dish is flavorful and savory which is necessary because the staples it is served with is usually bland.

    2. Ogbono are seeds for an African bush Mango. It is usually used as a thickener for various stews and has a mild nutty flavor and is absolutely delicious! It is also known for it's weight loss properties.
