it's not to fast, because it's the tempo a polonaise shoult have. You notice the polonaise rhythm at the beginning, its perfect, so the tempo ist perfect
oh man how many of you are playing in the royal conservatory, nerve wracking i have to memorize like 4 songs just for grade 7 and this is going to be one of them.
I agree with @SwimmingPianist99 dude is going too fast. I personally suck at piano and I'm learning this now, but it sounds soooo much better when slowed down. This guy is ruining it by going so fast. D:
in 1817 when they only had and organ they couldnt have dynamics like we can now on our pianos, so if played as written there is only few dynamics in the song in case you didnt know so dont blame that pianist for following the music
i think its played little to fast at the beginning. - those 4 accords describe the time, when people ask s.o. for the dance, - so why would that be fast ? also i never understand, why the second accord is played softer and more silent - it is not marked in the notesheet ?! so why, - on almost all performances on youtube - is it played that way ? .. sound s***. Also it is crucial to play the (soft!) accompaniment in the 5th bar very neat. doesnt happen ...

olagru1994 2 months ago

It's pretty amazing that he wrote at age 7. Because I think it's one of his best polonaises. I love it!

showpan is how you pronounce it.
jacob9919 1 year ago
beautiful, but the polonaise isn't so fast...
within three strokes to put the 4 steps, here it is almost impossible ...
I say this as a dancer with the ten-year experience ...

dayum. 7 years old. My compositions don't sound this musical and I'm 19.

How do you pronounce his name? Is it like 'chopping" meat?

Agree with liennosyarg. It has such joyful melodic lines. allegro ma non troppo - fast but not so.. I'd regret skipping running through them.

this song so damn simple !

Chopin wrote this piece at age 7...... Andy, do you think you can ompose anything close to this ?
stampman50 2 years ago 3
I don't know about you guys, but I love when this song is done really slowly.
liennosyarg 2 years ago 3
Little too fast. Also make more dynamics. But, it's still pretty good.

who is the pianist?
tuanjp09 2 years ago
read the title. it says "Chopin"
bartybum 2 years ago
@bartybum I meant the pianist, who is in the video, not the composer. sorry if you're confused.
tuanjp09 2 years ago 2
I cannot he wrote this when he was 7. Chopin, like Mozart and Mendelssohn was a child prodigy

Yes, it's a little too fast. But it's a nice perfomance. Good interpretation.

The second accords must be played soft. The accent always falls on the first movement, thus the second is more soft.
94Eros 2 years ago
the cords are added a "bow" which means if the bow includes 2 notes, playing the second silent and the first louder.
JakWho92 2 years ago
is it just me, or is this being played a little too fast at the beginning?
(maybe its just me?)
curlyfry7527 2 years ago 3
not really played like it should be, needs to be softer and more mellow.

what do you mean by polish music? chopin is one of the most well known pianists
e32amgfinatic 2 years ago
One? For sure the MOST known composer in today's times. Later only comes Liszt with his amazing technique an others.

Not everyone's a classical fan. Most people barely know who Beethoven or Mozart are.

I can hear here beautiful piece but I can't hear polonaise or any Polish dance
Even music written by 7 years child can be difficult in interpretation for the greatest pianists
