its so you can munally edit your files like a mp3 if you have a mp3 you would know the diffrence between a ipod and mp3 mp3 you wouldnt need ssh theres no portal.but ipod touch you would need because theres a portal....itunes and i tunes do not let you fuck with the ipod files it does it for you

"no wifi" if i need to use instructions for a no wifi way of doing this, theres a good chance i have no wifi? if so i have no ip address aplicable to the device. if i did i could ssh normaly. itouch NO WIFI is a major problem and not one video on youtube addresses it. Ok i actually think i made a mistake i think you can only do it on a 3G connection but i might be wrong if it times out the first time you try it do not close cyberduck and try it again sometimes it doesn't work but you might need to have a 3G connection on your phone send me a message telling me how it goes :p

Are the iphone IPs dynamic or static? If they're static, i would be careful, you've just given out your public IP, port, username and password. It would be really easy for anyone to hack into your phone and brick it. Just a word of warning :)

First of all the ip changes like every 5 mins you can change the password from alpine to whatever you want and your iphone needs to be connect via the USB cord so how can they hack it hmm? don't listen to this guy he doesn't know what hes talking about

Erm, firstly - it doesn't have to be connected to the USB port...You're SSHing into it over the data network, not the cable.

I don't know about the IP changing, hence the first part of my comment...I admit that i don't know myself...

And yes, changing the password would be a good idea :)
