I don't water down the MAC cleanser for every day cleaning, I just put it in a spray bottle. For the weekly cleaning you can use any gentle shampoo, either the baby kind or one you'd use yourself.
Thank you for this :) I noticed that my brushes didn't seem clean enough using the homemade cleaner. And I have to be very careful with my face brushes because of how acne prone my skin is.
Curious: What's the alcohol content of the MAC cleaner?
I'm not sure what the % is on the MAC cleanser. I don't think it states it on the bottle, and I can't find info on it after a quick google search either. If it's important to you, I'd suggest emailing MAC directly from their website. I've had good experiences with them getting back to me and answering any questions I've had in the past.
