@irishsoccerguy ..seriously? lol...its the blow off valve, basicly when the trans goes to shift and the throttle closes, the air needs somewhere to go otherwise it will over pressurize, so its "blows off" through a special valve. it bleeds/dumps the boost when its not needed.
