Very right you are about the dormancy, and sorry about coming acroos as doubting your plan! I was just asking about the cold being maybe a problem, for the Ceps even grow what we call uncarnivorous leaves at that time of rest we call dormancy. I am looking forward to learning more from your study, thanks for doing it and note, I'm always open to learning more about this wonderful hobby! I so enjoy all you post...Thanks my Friend!
@acarnivorous not a problem... i don't even know if this will be successful so I'm taking more videos... wait until you see my very recent updates on this plant! So far, it's as healthy as my Sarracenia purpurea! and THAT'S the hardiest of all the carnivores....but now I can't see the plant because it's buried under 2 feet of snow from last night's storm!! - but that's a good thing.
all cephaloootus are tropical! I don't think they will live thru a hard cold time but, Please let us know how it goes! I have been growing them for years, thriving with out mold and with good color! nIf there is any mold it is because they need A LOT of ventilation, and A LOT of deep watering, and lots and lots of light! I give mine from 14-17 hours of lighting a day! Enjoyed your video, looking forward to a update.
@acarnivorous I have seen your channel and i dont doubt you, but dont cephs undergo dormancy in the wild where there are periods of very cold winter in which they die down and than grow back?
How are they doing so far???
