now i know what type of martial arts i was practicing xD it thought it was wushu but i watched a few videos it was nothing like...now i know that is sanda
@cesztoszule sanda is wushu. sanda is just the practical fighting sport of any kind of kungfu. in this case, it is shaolin sanda. wushu just means martial arts in mandarin. it is only outside of China that they have separated the meaning. They call the shaolin forms wushu by themselves but in China kungfu form and sanda training go hand in hand.
It is awesome, I just don't think it was a real fight, they didn't want to hurt each other, the fight was planned although it was really professional!
Yeah, Sanshou in the 80s and until the mid 90s had no takedowns (only sweeps). This made the fights more expectacular to watch because in reality, takedowns take away the "fighting" sense that people want to see. With takedowns, there is less fighting and more "hunting".
great, like this

One of the best Sanda fights I have seen, the skill of these fighters are very good´. A perfect demostration of the full-contact kung-fu sport!!!
