which is something i have a problem with now too. but look for a guy on facebook named Dr Ron Daulton Jr. he has a book called take your life back the ultimate guide to healing a herniated disc. ask him about it. i trust his judgement and im trying to save up for the book its an expensive book but i think it'd be worth it.
if you really want to know how to get the problem to go away, i can tell you one thing. i can give you a link for a guy's book where some people have fully healed their herniated disc.
i use tylenol precise, pills, hot pads, cold pads , i sleep o certain possition, when laying down on thw floor , rest my legs on a higher level.. oughhhh.. and above all a lot of faith to avoid depression and frustration..specially when u are walking slow and u c ppl want to walk over u or want to rush u because they c you r young and instead of think for a moment that something is wrong with ur health , some act like u have to stay at home if u feel bad ..the truth is feel limited :(
and it's not easy I used to be a speedy person.. now Im a person with pain 24/7.. right now i had to stand , walk n sit to be able to write this comment.. iot's sad to say it but we have to endure the pain and go on in life.. thank God for ppl in the market that help me lift a gallon of milk because sometimes I can't even lift it even if i use 2 hands.. the leg pain, swalleness of nuts( marbles) its nasty..
all I can say it's horrible ,I never new i would find so many ppl with same issue..It changes lifes.. i can't do mayority of things that i ussually used to do.. even to go to market is painful..I ve heard a lot about surgery but most of the ppl i know that has had surgery , they say pain is way worst and I can't really imagine how more worst it can get.. i try to be as normal as i can but I can't work.that's a frustration right there.I've tried thou.. but in 6 weeks of work i had to c doctor 3x
Thanks for sharing. I have the same problem except I also have SI joint pain, bulging disc L3 & L4 and a collapse disc at L5- S1. The pain is horrible and bedtime is a real nightmare.
Sorry I can barely hear you, this happened to me 2 weeks ago boxing, got better then I went back to the gym and it finished me, I haven't felt my right ass cheek in 4 days, are you an active person and if so did this hinder you for a prolonged period, you seem pretty young I am 29 hadn't considered these issues before.
The diet won't last, ... but the pain will. I've had it for 40 years. Never taken any pain meds because what't the point? Like you said, that fixes nothing.
I have a disk as well at L4-L5 and L5-S1 I went to a chirpractor for a week and got better 100% but like a jackass; the day I felt normal I went and shot a few hoops of basket ball and busted my back all over again worse than before. Right now my chiropractor is out of the country, and I'm lying on my back in bed 24/7 feeling a bit suicidal tbh, contemplating euthanasia. My life will never be the same again I've heard.. I used to work out, now they tell me I have to stop. I'm 21 yrs/old.
fuck ultram, the doc gave me some of that stuff and it barely works, percs all the way, they actulally give me energy, but highly addictive soooo.... its either get addicted to opiates or be in pain, back pain sucks. by the way ultram is a narcotic that is addictive so watch out for that, google tramadol withdrawal (tramadol is whats in ultram) the withdrawal symtoms are not pleasent. good luck with your back, it changes your life and life plans.
@cfb36 i hurt my back lifting something really heavy like 2 years back and it hasnt gotten better at a i cant bend down and touch my toes even... ive tryed all the over the counter stuff pillz pain patches, creams etc....i was wondering how you hurt your back and how u went about getting pain killers because i feel like thats about the only thing short of surgery that will work but i dont want to ask a doctor about it and be labled a drug seeker
@genestarwind7 if your injury is bad enough you'll get the pills, but be aware that those 4 hours or so of relief is not worth an addiction to opiates because the withdrawls will be the most painful, literal pain, you will ever have. also if you have been having the pain for two years and your doc is saying sergery, i would do it just cuz of the chance to get a permanent fix. i hurt my back lifting obscene amounts in the gym, the back doesn't like a 750lb dead lift. car accident didn't help.
@genestarwind7 Hey there, I'm not sure of the details of your situation. Are you in America? I think that (if you haven't already) it is a good idea to get detailed diagnosis, before you start searching for pills. I'm sure you have been for diagnosis, but if you haven't had an mri scan done, this can be extremely helpful in showing what the problem is. From there a doctor will be able to give much better advice.
I completely sympathise with your situation, I have a back problem myself.
yes, Khepruuu is right, go see a chiropractor. While its great that youre on a healthy diet, using heat/ice pads, resting, yoga etc you still havent fixed the herniated disc which is the root of problem. All the best.
I'd run from a doctor that offers a shot for back pain! It's just a lazy way for a doctor to shut you up. Sitting is the main reason we all have back problems these days. Doctors just love to give a shot for pain because they know you'll be back for more.
I also currently have a herniated disk in my lower back & doc says it's huge. I've been having pain for 6 months now. I pretty much had to begg my MD to send me for a MRI which I had done a little over 1 mo ago & a huge herniated disk that's pressing on nerves is the results. Then neuro surgeon is sending me for that injection. I understand about the heels cause I am a dancer but have not been working since the pain began cause it's too extreme at times. I don't take narcotics though.
DRONE ON. give in and have the surgery to fix it. i am having surgery.

Hey veeka, how is your back pain these days? Do you still have a prolapsed disc? I've had one for almost 3 years now. It's crap!
I've been looking at stem cell therapy, but I'm not sure if it's a possibility or just science fiction...

Stay off you back with your feet in the air or it could be you head is banging against the headboard. Stop these and your back will feel better.

Sitting is the cause of a lot of back problems!! Running slow can help you with your
back problems.
