Back in my hometown, a personal friend watched a family member watched a relative beaten to death by the police. Down the street from the home where I grew up, a black man was handcuffed, layed faced down on the ground, and then shot in the back.

I watch the police break the law all of the time, and of course there is nothing we can do. And then they get defensive and angry when people resent them.

The police are mostly extortionists, and if there are nice ones, that's cool.

To be fair, I was raised in a very anti-authoritarian family, on the other, the police do spend most of their time writing people tickets and otherwise extorting them.

I'm not against law and order, or peace-officers, but these statist police groups are clearly opposed to the interests of the public most of the time.

I've heard of police doing positive things too, and I applaud them for that, I just also know which way the wind blows.
