  • Can you map the instruments to a drum pad or can it only be done on a keyboard?

  • Can someone tell me how to do this with a controller? Not a keyboard?

  • 1. Insert a new midi track

    2. In the "browser" window, you select the instruments tab and there are Ableton built in instruments, select the instrument "Impulse", drag it over to the midi track.

    3. You will see the bottom window display the parameters for the impulse drum kit

    4. Select some drum hits from your sample library and drag them onto the pads

    5. double click a free box in the midi instrument to create a new sample

    6. you'll see the arrangement view to edit your drum loops
