I have to admit that while waiting on line this did look intimidating but then once on the ride, I was moderately disappointed. I was in the front row, hanging down and sighing to myself. Alas the world's most awesome coaster drop had not been found. The Drop coaster is a fun design but this drop isn't big enough to really feel those 90 degrees of initial drop. The drop is ok, nothing special, but the rest seems just a little gimmicky. In summary griffin is nothing to fear. Get on Alpengeist :-)

nitro doesnt have the similar characteristics. the griffon is amazing because it is a floorless diving machine. nitro isnt. Nitro is good, for a hyper coaster (that's the one you're talking about, right?) Griffon is cool, short, straight down, etc. those things make it a great ride. I haven't been on nitro, but I have been on griffon, and it is AMAZING!!!!

Yes, there are usually two trains running at a time. Sometimes it even runs three. You should definitely ride this ride though. It is so great. The drop really isn't that bad either. It's a lot more fun than scary!

not at all, i have bad panic attacks and i actually enjoyed it. its too fast to panic. its over before you even relize what happened. you'll love it. just don't work yourself up in the waiting line and you'll be fine.
