It is really mesmerizing, and a little bit otherworldly, to see such a young and cute Chris...How time flies and how people changeI wish they have never grown old. Anyway very decent, very talented, hard-working, self-aware, humble musicians...although they are gay, they are much more "men" than many straight men.

Thank God I have grown up with them. They made our world colorful without being flamboyant, and defined shadier parts better without going maudlin. One of the best bands all time.

When I bought Please, I had never seen any videos of its singles. This song had such a great impact on me that I used to imagine a video where gorgeous blonds and shaggy males would waltz down in a venue which changed from a run-of-the mill lecture hall to a magnificient Las Vegas casino, all changing from pure innocents to money-blanketed monsters as the song culminated into one of the best-ever choruses of all time at the end. It is also erroneous to use happiness as a blanket term. There are different kinds of happiness - Material, Spiritual, Social etc etc.

People do know that the lyrics to this song are meant to satirical right? Not having a go or anything, you can take it on a pure superficial lets just make a ton of cash, but it was meant to be a hit against the 80s yuppy culture, and like a few other songs of the time, touch on the darker parts of that whole 'ponytails and cocaine' scene.
