Lovee the cage. How do you litter train? i've tried but it doesn't work with my pigs.

@AlexaxApple Thankyou! And I've just uploaded a video on a method you could use to litter train your guinea pigs. Check it out! Hope it can help you :) You just need to keep trying and reward them every time they use their litter tray. Requires alot of patience and perseverance! Good luck :) x

Nice setup! You need something absorbent under the fleece, like cotton towels or so. This will keep the pigs dry and will prevent UTI's.

@Pigjes Thankyou! And both my guinea pigs are potty trained so the fleece stays 100% dry because it never gets peed on! I still wash it every week though, to freshen it up :) Thanks for commenting, I love your channel. You are very creative :) x

And guniea pigs get sick easily especially when they're young

@BakaDemi Good point, but as you can see in the video, I have a water bottle AND a bowl of water. The bowl of water is in there incase the water bottle stops working - although that's very unlikely to happen, but I don't want my guinea pigs to get dehydrated! The bowl is just in there for back-up, basically.

& I change the water in the bowl 3 times a day :) xx

@yomommyissofat thankyou! :) and i built the cage myself! i got the grids from B&Q - 23 panels for £22.99, and i got the correx / coroplast from a local sign shop for roughly £10 :D and thankyou for the video suggestion too.. stay tuned for that ;) xx

@Cornpop7845 i got the leopard print castle instore in a UK shop called QD, and sorry I can't give you the link as they havn't put it on their website. :-/ if you can't get into QD, then you can try searching 'pet hut triangle' on eBay, and it will come up :) its actually a cat bed, and the brand is 'Scallywags', if that helps at all.. :) xx

@peacelovedance005 yes! guinea pigs are herd animals by nature, and are very social creatures and enjoy the company of others of their own kind :) they like to sleep together, eat together, chat together and play together! guinea pigs who live in pairs or small groups are much happier, more energetic, more vocal, and even live longer than lonely, single guinea pigs! :) xx

@skinnypigs1 they started out on woodshavings. when they were old enough for their first floor-time, i obviously didn't want them to pee on the carpet so i bought a littertray, and filled it with some fresh woodshavings, with a little bit of their used bedding (so it had their scent on). at floor time, when they needed the toilet they were drawn to the smell of the woodshavings in the littertray and just went to pee there! and thats how i trained them.. it was pretty easy :D xx
