Avaliable with several different engine options, trims, and even a LSD(Limited slip differential) So when you clutch kick the car will slide just like a welded diff but without the constant locking of a welded diff so youre not burning through tires during daily driving. First, It is rear wheel drive! Second, J.D. power gives a review out the door. The genesis has only been out for two years. No one has a clue how long the car will go before break down. I am myself yet to find a 200k+ review on any hyundai. Consumer reports is where to go. honda and toyota still on top.

Stand corrected. Traction Control can be turned off. This car is the best car to have been released in america since the S14 240sx in 98. This car will be everywhere. And it deserves to be. About time honda died off as an old persons car company.
As a person who has recently purchased a Genesis 2.0T, I can speak first hand about how great these cars are to drive; the turbo is unreal, the suspension is amazing, and the price is the kicker-especially for what you get. I don't really get how you can expect to dwell in the past experice of the "Pony", since that was some time ago. If you know anything about cars, it's always about the ride, not about the brand name.

Your absolutely right. Car manufactures have there up's and downs. But nobody has made a car as terrible as the Pony. NOBODY. That car came off the lot with rust and a dead engine/tranny. The Genesis does look kind of good. But with the memories of the PONY attached to the Hyundai, its hard to give there new cars a clear pass.
This version is probably the 3.8 V6 Which has 300hp. The 2.0T is turbo but only have 210hp. The 2.0T engine has the same block (I think) as the Evo Xs 4B11. Some guy brought one in our Evo meets, and this cars really nice. Hyundai really did a good job making this car.

nissan did actually make some good cars like the 300ZX...when it came out in the 1989 it looked good and it still looks good today. The 240sx...was also good...the new Generation of 350Z is also good...but the infiniti version is alot better for the money. I personally prefer a a maxima or altima cause the new ones look nice and are pretty fast....make em RWD, and it's over....
I'm pretty surprised and happy that Hyundai is coming up with a FR car but personally I don't think the aesthetics are that great, especially the front of the car. I would prefer the aesthetics of a S15 or a FD.

Stand corrected. Traction Control can be turned off. This car is the best car to have been released in america since the S14 240sx in 98. This car will be everywhere. And it deserves to be. About time honda died off as an old persons car company.

As a person who has recently purchased a Genesis 2.0T, I can speak first hand about how great these cars are to drive; the turbo is unreal, the suspension is amazing, and the price is the kicker-especially for what you get. I don't really get how you can expect to dwell in the past experice of the "Pony", since that was some time ago. If you know anything about cars, it's always about the ride, not about the brand name.

I think Hyundai is getting better and better.
As of 2009, Hyundai's are not worse than any other car for the similar price.
I had a 2003 Accent, and I loved it. (Though it was not as convenient and noiseless as the concurrent models. It have not gone wrong.)
This Genesis Coupé is an entry-level true sports car, does not beat the "great" ones, but promises a very good driving experience!
I want one.

Your absolutely right. Car manufactures have there up's and downs. But nobody has made a car as terrible as the Pony. NOBODY. That car came off the lot with rust and a dead engine/tranny. The Genesis does look kind of good. But with the memories of the PONY attached to the Hyundai, its hard to give there new cars a clear pass.

This version is probably the 3.8 V6 Which has 300hp. The 2.0T is turbo but only have 210hp. The 2.0T engine has the same block (I think) as the Evo Xs 4B11. Some guy brought one in our Evo meets, and this cars really nice. Hyundai really did a good job making this car.

i know enough not to buy a car that has a timing belt , rather then a timing chain. look it up i believe most are only good for 60k miles. timing chains are good for the life of the engine. almost all hyundai's use timing belts.its a cost saver until it breaks. idk about you but i wouldn't buy a new car that needs major engine
maintenance or in many cases repair after 60k miles. there are also many other reasons not to buy a hyundai, not enough room to post here.

nissan did actually make some good cars like the 300ZX...when it came out in the 1989 it looked good and it still looks good today. The 240sx...was also good...the new Generation of 350Z is also good...but the infiniti version is alot better for the money. I personally prefer a a maxima or altima cause the new ones look nice and are pretty fast....make em RWD, and it's over....

LOL you really just compared those cars didnt you? I believe the best best factory Genesis coupe is just under $30k while the Skylines have all been more expensive especially the newest 70k+ GTR. not to mention the NSX which also costs significantly more.
I would be willing to suggest, based on the Equus, Genesis, and Genesis coupe that koreans are able to make a higher quality superluxury, luxury, and sport car than Germans or Japanese

I know a good amount of people with Hyundais and they have zero problems.Plus the 5 year warranty then 10 year trany warranty and 10,000 miles hard to beat that. I hated hyundai when they first came out but they have proven them self gotta give them some credit.

Yes, they did use the modified VQ35 on their test sessions, but later in the real one, they used the modified RS3800 which had been increased to 4.1 Litres to create over 500bhp. Don't think NissanTy, just because Nissan provided the engine does not mean the car is nissan. You are not thinking about other components of the car like the suspension and brakes :)
