people who say they aren't metal are kidding themselves. As far as the singing in this band is concerned, I think its cool because its totally unique when it comes to other new metal bands
It's called an instrumental. Good bands record them, because they can. Allow me to name a few: Absolution by Megadeth, The White Sea by the Sword, March of the Lor by the Sword, Suicide and Redemption by Metalli-cah, Translyvania/Genghis Khan/Losfer Words by Iron Maiden, Man Made God by In Flames, 1776 by Iced Earth, etc. Instrumentals tell stories of their own, just as effectively if not better than songs with lyrics. It's like a book vs the movie for that book. You conjure your own feelings.
i honestly like the singer cause in a way, he reminds me of young ozzy (black sabbath).
the fact that about half the songs are instrumentals really sets this band apart from the other head banging bullshit that is being thrown out in the industry that is being given the label "music".
I have heard their singer first, their singer isn't that great, but I do like lyrics because they give the songs a story or meaning. For instance, fire lances is about the end of the world via nuclear armageddon. that song just wouldn't be as cool if it didn't have the lyrics it does.
regardless though, I like this song with or without lyrics.
the instrumentals on the album rule, dont care much for the singers voice.
