degreaser works great yes, but it can be corrosive (diluted or not), I am a cyclist and to clean our bikes we use citrus based products...non-corrosive and equal if not better then a degreaser...just a suggestion. give it a try. it works amazing for me! as for powerwashing the bay, I do that also, I just stand further back as you did! great vid, thank for making it detail, but fast!!

    much appreciated!

  • doesnt it say you can unlock power from the ecu?

  • I use a pressure washer on my WRX engine bay all the time (Like a Boss) never had any problems...I like the idea of using a leaf blower to get rid of excess water and help dry the engine bay.

  • Watching an engine detailing in 1080p like a boss

  • 2,000 views? should be 200,000+. Great video's on detailing, im watching these detailing videos series until it ends and already learned more than I knew.

  • u spray ur engine with water without covering up alternator and battery!!! hmm not surethatis good for them tbh! i was warned to not do that!

  • @goldsgym1244 Do you drive in the rain?

  • @onbooSTihooning You are a little misinformed but don't take this the wrong way. I'm not bashing you, just don't want you to run into problems or have other people follow this and do the same. Driving in the rain is not the same as pressure washing your engine directly. The engine compartment sees very little water even in heavy rain. With a pressure washer you can force water into electrical items/connectors and cause problems down the road. Stick with a regular hose and gentle spray.

  • @blackiec6 Thanks for the info! I agree. I don't soak the engine and never would, but a light spray won't hurt it.

  • try the In and Out after the drying its awesome. I use a=everything you do and then after i dry iti use the adams in and out and it looks amazing

  • I don't understand what your doing to dry it off after ?

  • @armadatilem Leaf blower and microfibers.

  • You are a great first owner.. Good job! I am the same way with My R32.

  • @jtorres1486 Thanks! What year R32, I love those cars

  • @onbooSTihooning Thanks man. R32's dont get the credit they deserve. Before that I had a 05 evo MR. It is an MKV R32. So are you close too NYC area?

  • how many hp is that pressure washer? Could you point me in the right direction in terms of getting one?

  • @GPNY100 I went with an electric pressure washer from a local hardware store. Inexpensive and perfect for what I do.

  • If you were to cover the electronic parts, which parts should be covered with plastic to avoid getting it wet? Thanks

  • @iggyg22 The battery and just to the left of the engine there is an electronic housing unit. I think that should do. Don't soak the engine, just a light spray.

  • @onbooSTihooning thank you for your quick response! is it okay to apply armor all after doing the wash?

  • I forgot to mention! WARNING!!!!

DO NOT SPRAY ENGINE IF IT IS HOT!

Wait until it cools down or you could crack your block!

  • Yayyy thanks for the upload! You deserve wayyyy more views with your quality of videos and what they are about!

  • @ILikeReallyBigButts Thanks, the time will come.
