@inspiredbymj Hi, you're equating happiness and loneliness to mean the same thing. being happy doesn't necessarily mean you're not lonely. have you ever heard the saying 'all alone in the middle of a crowd'? loneliness is something that can be hidden with laughter.

also not all people in a third world country are lonely. i have met many people in third world countries who are really not lonely.

'not all are lonely' no matter the country they belong to, however, it's the acute poverty, depression, helplessness that is in the eyes of the ppl from 3rd world countries which are the loneliest eyes n the most devastated souls.

@inspiredbymj i agree there are many people in 3rd world countries that are in terrible circumstances and have literally nothing but that doesn't mean that else where in the world people are any less lonely.loneliness and poverty are not always bound together. there are people who have all the riches or live in the 'wealthy' countries but are extremely lonely. it all comes down to what they have on the inside of them.without God we are nothing.i was lonely before God even though i had everything

I bought the America Album back in the 70's . This song brought me to tears because it reflected my life. I have been married forover 30 years to a fantastic wife and 2 grown kids and 2 beautiful grandchildren, but.....I am still a lonely person. I deal with depression. It sucks the life outa me so I dont want to see or talk to ANYONE. Sometimes I dont care what happens to me. It hurts others. I live with it and always will. "Drink from the silver cup" to me is Communion with Christ. T/Y Jesus

How did we get on to religon? I thought this was about lonely people, not that im complaining, everything has its place. Amazes me though that we have over 6 billion human beens on the planet and some are alone.

I say this to everyone, up you're game, go to clubs of interests and functions, keep clean, dress your best and grab love and companionship wherever it comes from.

Splendid. I'm an agnostic, yet, just seeing stuff like this will always show me that there's some type of higher being. I know what religion is. I was born in a predominately Sunni Muslim area, arrived in America, went to Catholic school. Lived under a Jewish father, and a Buddhist/Spiritual mother. And have participated in the Seven Day Adventist Church, Calvary Church, Episcopal Church, and at points dabbled in Islam. This is what religion is. Brotherhood. Unity. Love.

people say that god never puts something hard in your life that you wont be able to overcome, so why is it that some people end there life? what doenst god know that every person is different that there is some weak people and some strong people? i guess not.

@jr4chargers I guess it's a matter of trust. And who best but God to understand that we are weak. I've read many stories of horrible things that happened in prison camps in WW-2/Korea/Vietnam and I'm sure I would not have survived..and yet, many did. (My dad was a medic in Korea and he told me stories of POW's who ate bugs to survive and they came out of the camps in better shape than those who couldn't get themselves to eat bugs.)

I realized that God has a plan for me. That if I don't endure what he wants me to, i won't ever get where he wants me to be and be who he wants me to be. His will is beyond my understanding. @mrstevehartman As for life being hard and God blaming it on us or Satan, He gave us free will so we could choose if we want to be friends with Him. Not a puppet. But the thing is we make our own choices and those have consequences not just for us but others. If you threw a baseball and it breaks someone's window, can they blame God that the window broke?

P.S. God saw the pain and hopelessness of this world and decided not to just sit there. He made a way out without restarting.

You can make beautiful things that love you but what's the point? They're made like that, they aren't real friends. So, you give your creation a free will even though they may not want to like you. God knew we'd turn on Him and go our own way and be our own gods but made mankind anyway. After all, wouldn't you?

Koningin was supposed to be "Königin" but I wasn't paying attention when I made this account and now its stuck. Der is also "the". Nacht is night. My name is in English 'The Queen of the Night' which is a character in Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte. She sings soprano. I used to love opera very much. ^_^

My favorite band currently is actually the American band Flyleaf. Their newest album "Memento Mori" really took me by surpise. :)

@dieKoninginderNacht Yes, two great bands. Growing up in the late 60s and 70s, I still gravitate toward that older rock. Todays " rap " music is a real downer to me ! Black, ( Soul ) music used to have integrity and was great. I still love looking at shows like MASH, All In The Family, Sanford And Son and such. I really believe that if we didnt have music, laughter, friends and nature that life would be unbearable !!

@mrstevehartman I used to love MASH and some older shows like I Love Lucy. Yes, I think it's important to listen to positive music because negative music does drag you down. The negativity is being pored into you and you don't even realize it until you're unhappy. I love friends, music, laughter and nature but without Jesus's overflowing love, this life would still be unbearable.

I Want To Hold Your Hand, Hello Goodbye, O Bla De O Bla Da and such like. I really find it interesting and fun. Sometimes, I even learn something ! HA, HA.... It's natural to be happy or sad at a certain circumstance, the real choice we make is whether to make others happy or depressed with the words we say and the things we do. I am a christian..and love this message..however..i do..as a christian worry about the formulaic structures we (the church) are beginning to use..that plays emotionally on people..

we do it in music..and now videos..and it can often be very deceiving..

In order to communication a message effectively through videos, I think finding appropriate music which goes along with the message is important. I don't think a video editor does it intentionally to play on people's emotions or to win people to God through empathy.

If you asking FOR something in your prayer, then you are trying to convince God to change His plans. For example: Your friend is very sick and he is gonna die (because the Lord wants him in heaven).
