As usual this American commentator got his facts wrong. For one thing the coast of England is, at its closest, only 21 miles from that of Contoinental urope, not 90 as this idiot stated. & it was in the spring and early summer of 1940 that the Nazis invaded Norway and Denmark, the Low Countries and France, and not the autumn! It was in the early autumn (7 Sep 1940) that Hitler switched his aerial attacks from RAF airfields to mass bombing raids on London - a fatal mistake on Hitler's part!

THIS IS NOT RARE COLOUR FOOTAGE but incorrectly inaccurately recoloured WW2 B/W footage, using mostly guesswork and lack of knowledge. I wish this misleading practice would cease. Those using it for color reference should cease forthwith to do so, its for the public and not historical accuracy. Trouble is if there is any important scarce colour footage then its ruined as we cant trust what we see. Would the person that coloured this say why they have the RAF wearing green please !!!!

The BoB wasn't as close a run thing as made out. By September Britain was manufacturing planes & training pilots faster than Germany was.

The RAF overestimated the amount of LW planes & the LW vastly underestimated the amount of RAF planes remaining which is why the attacked London to draw the fighters out

Untold thousands of Welsh, Scots and Northern Irish suffered Nazi bombing and fought the Germans. Why can't the Yanks seem to get anything right?
