  • They played the wrong song at the Grammy's.

  • I totes love love radiohead, this is one of my favorite performances by them, but I am also gonna give props to the drumline. I have play on a drumline for while and playing something jazzy and low takes a lot of control on an "outdoor" instrument.

  • fuck. this is cool. thanks for uploading this. I was gutted when it got pulled ages ago, almost right after it was first uploaded. here's to the machine never finding this.

  • ...and Radiohead won best packaging on these awards...Where the fuck are we going people??

  • I think Thom is subtly directing this song at the Grammys itself. "You used to be alright. What happened?"

  • this was on twilight o_o

  • This is real music!!!!!!!

  • i'm kind of sad now that everyone loves radiohead, but i must admit there's something really exciting about them unleashing what they have been building for 20 odd years to the entire planet with such huge conviction in this performance! like, "you think the shit you listen to is good - check out THESE balls!!!!!"

  • Back when actual music was on the Grammys! Radiohead. One of the BEST bands EVER!

  • @kearaluvsjustin Absolutely they are one of the best ever! But that was plain overproduced with all the horns. Prefer the band on their own. Typical American awards show, Grammys are shit, imo.

  • @paradroidetcetera I hear you there. To be honest, Thom Yorke seemed to be mocking the show. That's probably why it was so over the top. It was a "in your face, if we're gonna do your award show, we're gonna make fun of you". They still sounded good though. SO much energy.

  • They're playing 15 Steps and I think the 5/4 rythm is a spoof of all the 4/4 popmusic. Now that's a gently "Fuck You".

  • Best performence of this song I've ever seen. Already watched it 5 times in a row.

  • one of my favorite performances ever

  • Thom Yorke telling the audience that the song is in 5/4 @ 3:01

  • Thom Yorke questioning the Grammies @ 0:45

  • Every year, during the Grammys, when they mention that everyone has their "Grammy Moments," that they will always remember?

    This is mine.

  • its a shame they're not performing tonight, the performing lineup kinda sucks, especially without this amazing performance.

  • this is absurd

  • This is a really fly horn arrangement. Plus Thom seems to be putting on some swag for this performances. Probably because he doesn't give a shit haha. That's why he's great though.

  • Is he....ok?

  • @Knives006 I ask myself that question everyday.

  • The Grammy's suck, I mean they had Katy Perry for album of the year, wtf, it's just a popularity contest.

  • @Radiohead4121 The Grammy's are far from a popularity contest. Every artist that wins a Grammy actually deserves it. Did you ever think that her album might have actually been good?

  • @ivorybomb Are you serious? LOL Throughout the years almost everyone they nominate, are the extremely famous artist, Radiohead is amazing, the only reason their in the grammy's is because their mainstream, but for a good reason, they have talent. Compared to all these artist like Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, their music is just catchy and most of the time they don't even write their own songs, and the beats are made by someone else, all they do is sing it. Funny.

  • This version is WAY better than the original.

  • I think Thom thought he was Jagger in this one. :)

  • @MoneyKur Yorke kicks Jagger's ass.

  • Can I see Johnny Greenwood or Ed O'Brian? Can't Tell because he doesn't lift his head up. Oh wait...

  • Where is the rest of Radiohead? By the way, great performance, I bet those kids were psyched to be there

  • You know, I love Radiohead, but I really wish people would stop acting like they invented 5/4 timing.

  • Thom might be an odd fella but he sure can sing.

  • when did johnny start to play lefthanded?

  • @beebop333 The video is mirrored, I think. But it wouldn't surprise me if Jonny could play both handed - he could probably play with his feet.

  • Comment removed

  • @beebop333 when he got tired of being too good with his right

  • @811chelseafc well these drums certainly are not from ahamay

  • but... did they even ask Philip how he felt about this? D:

  • Grammys: hey radiohead, play that one song "creeper" or whatever

    Thom: Fuck you

  • @darkguitarfish Go listen to Lady GaGa then ,little boy.

  • @darkguitarfish this is the greatest comment I have ever read on a YouTube video

  • Just amazing.

  • Thousands of simpletons just had their brains made into messy mush.

  • It took me halfway through the video to realize that it was flipped... I kept wondering why Johnny was playing left-handed haha

  • @TomWhaley621 nah johnny just got bored of being awesome so he decided to do something new

  • @TomWhaley621 he was just playing johnny-handed

  • I have chills

  • Sadly enough, this is the closest the Grammys have and ever will get to real music

  • amazing!

  • this is not my favourite version.

  • with that band and all gosh i wish they played national anthem

  • Comment removed

  • @IXIPestilenceIXI Fuck you dude, seriously.

  • @IXIPestilenceIXI You're so cool, swimming against the current like a real cool guy, cool.

  • God damn Thom. He is my herooo

  • RADIOHEAD!!!!

  • demencial

  • THAT WAS AWESOME!

  • I never realised that jonny was left handed before... hééééééé copyright

  • @mamatouchyourweewee I don't think he's even left-handed, most pics show him right-handed - he's just playing left-handed for some songs (He has worn a wrist-brace on his right arm since the early days; he might have learned to play certain songs left-handed because it's easier on his tendonitis/carpal-tunnel tendencies? Not sure... ^^)

  • @xiola He's playing right-handed, the video's just inverted so it looks like he's playing left-handed.

  • esta fregona esta version yeah.......

  • wow full speed

  • That audience did not deserve thaT

  • Interview that one disliker

  • 3:04 thom's badass look xD

  • Why is Jonny playing with his left hand ?

  • @tahak1993 the image is inverted ;)

  • his voice and passion make me feel something... deep inside my soul

  • I heard my brother was playing this song on his computer downstairs... I went running and I fell the 15 steps of my staircase... and it hurt as hell... l..l,

  • @FERDINANDNUNCIO

    LOL! that's cool! :)

  • tardaron demasiado en subir sta presentacion, en buena definición¡¡ gracias

  • Is it normal to have chills for 3:17 straight?

  • Does anyone know what school the drumline is from? (I'm assuming it's a university line)

  • @Drummer1285 USC

  • effin goosebumps...flawless.

  • good music but not cool as muse

  • @zackmuser I could make the overused argument that muse is radioheadlite and how they attempted to copy radioheads sound but im just going to refrain

  • @elurseeknay I for one never heard the supposed similarity between muse and Radiohead, and I've been a fan of both for years. If you'd care to enlighten me on which songs sound similar, I'd really love to listen. Maybe Matthew Bellamy's vocal style on Showbiz is slightly similar to Thom's, but that's about all I've ever heard.

  • Why is the picture mirrored??

  • @RC9ine to avoid it being taken down for copyright purposes.

  • The orchestra members are all wearing the in rainbows tee shirts. Nice touch.

  • holy crap.

  • 0:05 OMG! I touched Jonny Greenwood!

  • Ha Ha Thom made a effort to dress up for this. :)

  • ok... now i'm lost... how many members does RH already had? xD :D

  • lucky bastards

  • no mamesssssssssssssssssssss esta de poca madre esta rola¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • 1:27 to 1:46 was fucking incredible. so intense.

  • @IfyouneedTV That moment is good, How about 2:50 to the end? That last note, gives me chills everytime.

  • Is this possible? A 5/4 Beat at The Grammys?! AWSOME

  • The most beautiful band nowadays, they're magical

  • Why do Radiohead always tend to play their songs faster live?

  • @Urbeflurb93 Most bands tend to play their stuff faster live. Just the adrenaline. Radiohead is usually realllllly good at keeping the original tempo, however here I'm sure that because it was a national broadcast, they had to speed it up to fit the time slots allotted.

  • thom yorke = swagmaster 3000

  • The opening riff Johnny Greenwood plays always reminds me of Super Mario. Not sure why.

  • Such a powerful arrangement, really gets cooking at the end. Was slightly halting at the start with the faster tempo but really built to a crescendo. Seen Radiohead twice, they never disappoint.

I'm a singer songwriter and would love it if you get a chance to check out some of my songs on my channel. Thanks. Cw.

  • Ha didnt even notice Johnny playing left handed I was tooo busy looking at Thom's lazy right eye rather than his usual lazy left eye ha

  • WWWOWWW. That was amazingly incredible. I would totally lose my shit if I was asked to be part of something like that. Excellent arrangement. ... Funny, I just looked down and saw that someone else already "lost their shit" watching this - yeah, empty bowels all around!

  • Watched+listened to this and totally lost my shit...

  • For a second I thought Johnny was playing left handed :O.... then I realized its a mirrored image -_-....

  • WOW

  • Love Radiohead. Love marching bands. Will probably watch this clip a thousand times. Amazing performance!

  • one of radiohead's coolest performances...i hope they make another game-changing record ala OK Computer or Kid A after the King of Limbs to stay relevant

  • Man this is powerfull

  • Let's hope we see 'em again this year...

  • holy fuck..

  • (cont'd) other bands. Some of you seem to have it drilled into your skulls that mainstream publicity = automatically bad. That certainly isn't the case. Radiohead was brought to the Grammys to put on a show, and they did a damn good job. Why? Because people like them. They're not underground or whatever you want to delude yourself into thinking. They are, in fact, mainstream, but a more complex mainstream band.

Jesus Christ. You psuedo-hipsters drive me absolutely batshit sometimes.

  • I am so sick of this "holier-than-thou" bullshit from fellow fans that I see whenever Radiohead is around other bands in certain videos.

Just shut the fuck up already. Radiohead isn't about being against pop culture, it's about experiencing different sensations through music. That doesn't mean other bands at the Grammys are NOT musicians. They too want their audiences to experience sensations, but those sensations are rather simplistic. Radiohead doesn't go to the Grammys to BEST (cont'd)

  • @TKOblue I think this should be at the top of every youtube video of radiohead :/ I hate haters.

  • @yasseford: I know. Radiohead is my favorite band, but I've never grown this superiority complex that's popular amongst most other fans. It's ridiculous.

  • Johnny Greenwood is as much as radiohead as Thom is

  • I just feel that Thom is not serious here...his making fun of the Grammys...hahaha

  • Comment removed

  • Musicians at the grammys, now i have seen everything.

  • @writhininanakedsweat every radiohead fan loves Jonny. Not in a weird way but he is just awesome. Also it was really difficult to write your account name, you should change that.

  • I love Jonny Greenwood! <3

  • 3:17 minutes of somthing worth my time at the grammys - 4:43 hours worth shitting on.

  • Thom Yorke has fits of genius......every second of his life !

  • was this from the In Rainbows album?

  • @nhadz16

    Yes

  • radiohead got shit done at the grammys

  • Intense drummer man 0.o

  • Why is the video mirrored? Read the drums. AHAMAY?

  • lo mejor de esa noche !!!!....SIMPLEMENTE GRANDES!!

  • fuck. these guys should play on every song with radiohead.

  • Thom has so much swag here.

Also an epic arrangement of an amazing tune from a brilliant album from the greatest band in the world.

  • This is the performance that actually got me to love Radiohead. I had hardly any idea who these guys were before this and I remember watching in awe as all of this was going on and thinking "Jesus Christ! Why have I never listened to this band before?"

  • @kris242 Exactly the same for me :)

  • That was cool...

  • guitar=best part

  • Funny how those Bieber fans aren't even realizing they are trying to touch a god.

  • @jjysoserious lmfao inr

  • Awesome! Wish Phil and Colin were there but still great!

  • @FluffersTheFirst Don't forget Ed bro!

  • @ItRagdoll I thought I saw Ed there, guess he wasn't lol

  • @SundayPostalService Nope, Ed took on the roll of what alot of the high brass instruments played. so he wasn't in the rehersal or performance. I was just Thom and Johnny. You can find a videos of the 2 practicing with the Marching band.

  • Beautiful!

  • BRAZIL!?

  • Radiohead changed my life back in 05. God bless their asses <3
