Yeah Myles it gives you enough speed to go through the ice, but not the snow walls, and the positioning is horrible for the exit blj so by the time you get near the wall with the star you don't have much speed.

relax, it's not surprising. i just needed to make sure you read it before i explained, since i'd basically just be covering what written there.

essentially, he did the blj as shown, but it didn't have enough speed to break through the wall. after testing as much as he could, he then went back and did it again, but this time he edited mario's speed values to force the results shown in this video. as such, it can only prove that the possibility exists, and does not show a true execution of it.

i still feel like the blj in the entrance has a better chance. maybe if you build up enough speed, you can slide along the wall, then when you reach a spot that has the right angle, you cankick away from it like in the 0-star tas's 8-star door skip.

Since Jump kicking kills a bit of speed, I'd think the only way to get in from the entrence blj is if you could find "than" angle, and c up and still clip into the wall

it kills seed, but i don't think it brings it back down to a specific amount if it's higher than that, so all it means is that you need a shitload more bljs than what would normally be the minimum.
