  • 3.34-3.36: Massive forward pass from UQ!

At least we got a draw in '07. We'll get them this year. Vamos QUT!

At least we got a draw in '07. We'll get them this year! Vamos QUT!

  • This is true. However it was not the case.

Please do not get me wrong UQ won and I do nothing more then give credit to them for doing so. But I am forced to correct the illusion of it being a one sided game. I will wait till the 21st of September next year, at that time with contested scrums well will see more of an equal forum.

I do say this at last, well done UQ Law you played a good game and I am proud to see that the standard of rugby has gone up 10 fold from previous years.

  • I disagree Paul. To quote from your coach in the video: referring to the QUT side, "there was not one first-up tackle." If you go back through the video, i think that you will find that the QUT 'lemons' got cleared off the ball 90% of the time by forwards half their weight. The UQ team was fitter, faster and stronger. The fact that the QUT pack was bigger was outweighed by the same packs inability to go hard at the ball.

  • Pretty music. Where's it from?

  • the music is from "remember the titans" and "the greatest game ever played"...which funnily enough is the title of the music at the end of this video (ie from when the score is given)

  • Dan, I can appreciate that there was some good camera work, but in regards to the editing, one almost gets the impression from teh video that the sides were of a similar quality. Particularly the UQ Fullback and half-back who, despite their slopiness and smallness respectively, were by far the two best players on the park.

  • Tbirdman, i'm sure there were some outstanding performances by certain people. However, I don't really like union and so don't really know who the fullback and half-back were. I was merely editing for the benifit of the QUT team. I didn't really know who was in the shot. I was just looking for the shots that fitted into the music.

  • Also, some of my camera work was shocking so i couldn't have used all of the shots even if i wanted to. however, from looking at the footage (and i watched it lots of times) UQ definitely was much better on the night.

  • Oh stop talking trash! the teams were not equal by any measure! QUT was far stronger in all departments it was just that the footy gods thought UQ should win for once. Wait till next year and contested scrums, then you will see some amazing rugby.

PS the only good thing that the UQ fullback did was kick.

  • Firstly, i think you will need to spend more than 5 mins on the field before you criticise anybody else's game. Also, the UQ fullback pulled off the biggest hit of the game forcing his 'victim' off the field. However, my highlight of the game was the UQ half-back, weighing in at 65Kgs, single-handedly clearing out 3 QUT tightforwards. Paul, there is no point in picking a side who are simply fat if they are too scared to go for the ball.

  • Dan all I can say is thank you for the hard work that went into making the video and next year we will get you more cameras and people to help film.

But most importantly is as I watch this film you made I feel all the hits and the emotions I went through as a player. You did a great job so be proud.

  • also, i don't know why there's lines in the video when the guys are running...i'm trying to fix it...

  • this video was so hard to make, especially when i only had one camera angle. also, the fact that i've never taped a rugby game before made it worse. sorry about all the bad camera work
