I love trains and I've seen the Long Black Train numerous times. That train has taken a lot of people away from me. Almost all of the people taken away from me, got on the train at Cancer and Old Age. Although, there were some that got on at Alcohol (and Alcohol related incidents), Drugs and Shootings. There were a few that got on at Heart Attacks, Heart Failure and a few at Suicide. The Long Black Train haunts me and I never know when its going to appear again. Why does this train follow ME?

@alachance99 keep it in mind that even though bullies seem tough there really weak inside. even when they are mean toyou remember that god smiles upon you and wants you to make the right decisions in life. doing something dumb will not help. i was bullied for years. it makes no difference if you dont let it get you down.

My husband says this song is only about abourton but to me also speaks of other things that can affect your life like being an alcoholic, drug addiction, gambling, etc. I love the theme of finding redemption in God and Jesus.

the song is talking about a long black train which represents sin and temptation.
and the lyrics on there when it says "There's an engineer on that long black train makin you wonder if the ride is worth the pain"
He's referring the engineer to Satan.
and hes basically saying to stay on the right track and stay away from the long black train.

But in my opinion, the young pregnant girl and the two girls (the white one and the black one) souldn't even be on the rails. Why they're sinners??? But anyway, I love this song.

@nathancrane see the people on the ''long black train'' are people who decided to take the wrong train, he sings: ''there's a long black train (...) feeding off the souls that are lost and crying.'' so he means these are the people who did something that destroyed their life's that's. and the people on the railway are tempted to take the '' long black train'' but the one people who turned invisible decided to not take the ''long black train''. (sorry 4 the bad spelling)

@ana96le Well, I think the song is about the Devil; You see all the possible things in the video that can be considered 'sin', like, the Alcoholic, the pregnant girl, stuff like that. So he's saying, "Watch out for that Long Black Train" and you'll "find redemption" if you just not do those terrible things. I'm not trying to sound Religious, but that's how I interpret the song and I hope you understood it. :)

John 10:10 says " The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came so that we can have life in abundance to the full till it over flows " He's asking is the sin you commit worth the cost of your salvation? Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and know body gets to the Father except by HIM. Your only victory is in Christ. Make a choice
