Same exact situation for me. I think the rattling might be a disconnected ribbon cable, I opened it up to take a look. Re-connect it to the motherboard and it should work fine.

well hey its a lil screw that came out inside all u have to do is take the phone apart and put that lil screw back in where it came out of second after you are done with that put the cell back together then try holding the Sleep button and the menu button at the same time for like about 10sec that should fix the white screen problem

hey if you havent tried take out the screws then us a small suction cup to remove the screen and check the connections mine just droped and the screen did that and sure enough i opend it up and the screen connection was loose

OHHH MY GOD!!! it just happened to me guys but thanks god i fixed really quick :-)... here is my story maybe it helps you guys: I droped my 3g iphone grom like 1 feet high and when i looked at the screen it was all white, i could hear that the phone was working `cause i kept tapping the screen and could hear it. what i did after like 20 mins of frustration is that I hit whit my palm the sreen... first time nothin, 2nd came on and off 3rd FIXED!! ^_^ now its all good try that guys. good luck

Happened to my lappy and I simply just opened the screen and pushed on a wire ( a very unique wire, I think it's called like a ribbon or something) and it works. So I would assume the same thing has happened to your phone, but I don't recommend repairing it yourself or you will void the warranty most likely. Get an Apple genius bar appointment and have them look at it

you can take out the sims card at the top with like a earing back (or somthing similar if you dont have an earing LOL) just poke it down in there and itll pop out

I called ATT and Apple both, and they said it couldn't be fixed. I would've tried to at least look inside it (taking the screws out of the bottom), but my dad is a self-declared genius and kept telling me "Leave the fucking thing in one piece". Of course now anytime I'm about to get up from sitting, I make sure it's in my pocket or in my hand. That helps a lot!
