Thanks so much, sad to say, they ran right over, so far, everything we have done to date. We have not given up, haven't been able to see Evelyn as her guardian isn't permitted her any contact, save her sis-in-law not even a phone or letters. So sad, my heart bleeds for her.

We work very hard all of our lives and hope to leave something for our loved ones, only to loose it all at the end. There should be better Laws in the USA. @Ijwantstohelp: Sounds like the correct avenue to take. A Grand Jury can set forth indictments against the criminals at CPS. However, some counties don't have Grand Juries, just a DA. This is how they corrupt the entire process. By Law I believe every county is supposed to have a Grand Jury. I'm going to look into this matter ASAP. Thanks for the tip.

My question, by what power was the would-be guardian allowed to question her dr. in the first place? What about HIPPA laws that are supposed to protect patient's privacy? How painful for Evelyn to find this out & now have to live out of her own home in isolation from other friends & loved ones
The first 2 videos were filmed in Evelyn's own home of over 35 years.Now she's been court-ordered OUT of it! She's not ill, but will be soon if this abuse of her freedom of choice continues. This video is in a friend's house. A friend who watched & cared for her when her caretaker wasn't able to for a few days.

all she needs is a little help.a home helath aid daily , nurse once a week who can assess her health, . just becasue she is 90 does not mean that she is unable to make decisions ..why make her give up all that she has known so some care facility can medicate her, take all her assetts and make her last days a living hell..assisted living facilities are fancy , they keep you until your money runs out , throw you on medicaid, medicare and then put you in a no frills facility.
to momzilla57...where Evelyn is currently being "housed" appears very nice....pleasant atmosphere, top-notch staff, tasty food, lovely room....until one has to use the bathroom and then THE WAIT IS ON. It's not the staff's fault. I've seen this in other n. homes. There is a need for more aides, the people who are in such close contact with the patients/residents. Because of this lack who are the ones who suffer the most?.. the patients, of course. Is this better than being in one's own home?

Yes, it certainly sounds like one & the same (I know some kids who were kidnapped by CPS & greatly harmed in the process).Evelyn is trying hard to keep optimistic & hopeful. have helped care for her once in awhile over the last 2 yrs. but don't think I could watch her 24/7 as her caregiver has been doing the last 15 yrs! He even gets up 2-3 times during the night to assist her in the bathroom.Now that's dedication and caring. And he's been restricted from his home & also from Evelyn!

This is outrages! I worked in old age homes here in Canada. You wouldn't believe the things I have seen.I would rather die in my home. This woman isn't senile. My job as a security guard was to watch over people that were in their last stages of dementia. They tend to get violent in the final stages of dementia so security was hired to protect the staff and other residence. I am losing my faith in the medical community more and more.Protection agency my ass!

Evelyn was GREATLY ANGERED when she heard that a guardian is being appointed to take over her check book, her savings, her mail, and her very home...things she worked very hard for. APS through the Court now wants the key to her home as well! She does NOT CONSENT to any of these actions against her.

This is "protection", safety and concern for her well-being? In HER OWN HOME, her caregiver was right there to assist her immediately-she didn't need to push a button or pull a cord & WAIT & WAIT & WAIT & WAIT ! SHE HAS A HOME to go back to....both she AND her caregiver are being restricted from it!
A doctor told me people with Dementia can not tell us where they want to live I informed him I never heard a person say I cant wait to get old and go in the old folks home. Everyone can express distress/ make needs known .

In my last job a lady was brought to hospital with suspected family abuse after presenting covered in Urine.
When I explored the situation I discovered
Her carers had not been visiting to fit incowear. Despite this information 3 doctors, nurses, social workers and many more highly paid professionals wanted to place her in a home against her wishes,despite her being safe to return home with incowear and care !
I never understood how intelligent people were so dumb.

I am 57 and refused cancer surgery. I have walked out on doctors; not one even tried to retaliate. I found a doctor who argeed to do what I wanted. If I die, it's my own choice, but I'm still alive. My plan: anyone who rides a motorcycle fast enough will not die of cancer.

So I ask all who read this to start living as healthy as you can. Stop drinking soda, eating fast foods, sugar and everything else you know is horrible for your body. Drink water, eat organic vegetables, and organic meats. Control your portions. Exercise! Just a simple walk everyday if that's all you can do.Make it very hard for anyone to put you away when you become a senior citizen. Peace

Hehee, well, was wondering when someone would notice the door. Yep, it is there because my two sons were messing around one day, and one threw a book at the other, and it being a hollow door, smashed a dent into it. I plastered it and that is the result.
Not the nursing home, not her home, just where she was staying at my home for couple days. We could've fixed it instead of temp/patching it w/plaster...however ...

@Ijwantstohelp: Sounds like the correct avenue to take. A Grand Jury can set forth indictments against the criminals at CPS. However, some counties don't have Grand Juries, just a DA. This is how they corrupt the entire process. By Law I believe every county is supposed to have a Grand Jury. I'm going to look into this matter ASAP. Thanks for the tip.

My question, by what power was the would-be guardian allowed to question her dr. in the first place? What about HIPPA laws that are supposed to protect patient's privacy? How unfortunate to discover that the person initially alerting APS was her own sister-in-law. How painful for Evelyn to find this out & now have to live out of her own home in isolation from other friends & loved ones

The first 2 videos were filmed in Evelyn's own home of over 35 years.Now she's been court-ordered OUT of it! She's not ill, but will be soon if this abuse of her freedom of choice continues. This video is in a friend's house. A friend who watched & cared for her when her caretaker wasn't able to for a few days.
When her caretaker can't watch Evelyn, she DOES HAVE other options! She has friends who can take turns or she can hire outside help. APS is completely ignoring this FACT!!!!!

She has a live in caregiver, for the last 15 yrs, [ who she loves as a Nephew, & he considers her family too) she has all her wits about her & makes her own decisions. She is healthy & needs no nurse, hospital or APS involvement. Such a shame, lies have been spread - innuendos & now a power play is in effect for her person, liberty & property. all she needs is a little help.a home helath aid daily , nurse once a week who can assess her health, . just becasue she is 90 does not mean that she is unable to make decisions ..why make her give up all that she has known so some care facility can medicate her, take all her assetts and make her last days a living hell..assisted living facilities are fancy , they keep you until your money runs out , throw you on medicaid, medicare and then put you in a no frills facility.

to momzilla57...where Evelyn is currently being "housed" appears very nice....pleasant atmosphere, top-notch staff, tasty food, lovely room....until one has to use the bathroom and then THE WAIT IS ON. It's not the staff's fault. I've seen this in other n. homes. There is a need for more aides, the people who are in such close contact with the patients/residents. Because of this lack who are the ones who suffer the most?.. the patients, of course. Is this better than being in one's own home?

Yes, it certainly sounds like one & the same (I know some kids who were kidnapped by CPS & greatly harmed in the process).Evelyn is trying hard to keep optimistic & hopeful. have helped care for her once in awhile over the last 2 yrs. but don't think I could watch her 24/7 as her caregiver has been doing the last 15 yrs! He even gets up 2-3 times during the night to assist her in the bathroom.Now that's dedication and caring. And he's been restricted from his home & also from Evelyn!

to witchyheart...yes it is so heartbreaking...I'm a personal friend of Evelyn's...about 30 years her junior and I have come to respect and admire her so much. She's a wonderful, smart, witty woman who has worked hard caring for her grandma and then her own grandmother in their older years... and now
the govt wants to take over what little she has as well as Evelyn's self....it is just devastating
to see this happening to her...and know others have and continue to suffer similar fates...

I hope that the right verdict will come and she will be allowed to be where she wants there is no reason in this world why someone should be put through this its unjust and unfair and just pure heartbreaking my heart goes out to everyone that goes through this it shouldnt be allowed to happen

Yeah...I can see how this is happening.
As soon as a PERSON comes "of age", toss them en masse into institutions where billions upon billions of government dollars will be required to care for them; far more than if they counted on the goodwill of friends and family. This will create a nice inflationary busting "heatsink." Just a part of what TPTB are looking for in the healthcare bill.
And just where will these dollars end up ultimately you might ask?

to freebird086....thanks so much...I was able to see EVelyn today and told her of ALL the new friends and well-wishers she has on-line trying to help her with this battle...she is so appreciative to all of you. She was downright angry today by what's going on and is determined to fight the hypocrisy and heartlessness of these government agents! ...in her words: "why do they have the power to do this?"

This is outrages! I worked in old age homes here in Canada. You wouldn't believe the things I have seen.I would rather die in my home. This woman isn't senile. My job as a security guard was to watch over people that were in their last stages of dementia. They tend to get violent in the final stages of dementia so security was hired to protect the staff and other residence. I am losing my faith in the medical community more and more.Protection agency my ass!

I wholeheartedly agree with your last statement..
"Protection agency...........!" Evelyn feels absolutely the same way. She's being fed, cleaned, dressed, exercised, housed where she is but most of her friends and loved ones have been restricted from communication.
What's living without your friends and loved-ones nearby. What's life without peace and contentment....especially in one's later
years? Evelyn, We commend you for your spirit and desire to retain your life & freedom!

to ancientmother....oh, thank you SO MUCH for helping Evelyn. Linking this video to CNN sounds like a fantastic way to get this much-needed story to more people. Evelyn was GREATLY ANGERED when she heard that a guardian is being appointed to take over her check book, her savings, her mail, and her very home...things she worked very hard for. APS through the Court now wants the key to her home as well! She does NOT CONSENT to any of these actions against her.

cont. to ancientmother: last night after dinner in the n. home Evelyn needed to use the bathrm. She waited about 25 min. for an aid to be available to assist her-then about 15 min. after to help! This is "protection", safety and concern for her well-being? In HER OWN HOME, her caregiver was right there to assist her immediately-she didn't need to push a button or pull a cord & WAIT & WAIT & WAIT & WAIT ! SHE HAS A HOME to go back to....both she AND her caregiver are being restricted from it!

A doctor told me people with Dementia can not tell us where they want to live I informed him I never heard a person say I cant wait to get old and go in the old folks home. Everyone can express distress/ make needs known .
DO people feel better in their own home or a strange place? It is not rocket science Who gets to decide whether old people can live in their homes ? Doctors who do not know people with Dementia can communicate !

In my last job a lady was brought to hospital with suspected family abuse after presenting covered in Urine.
When I explored the situation I discovered
Her carers had not been visiting to fit incowear. Despite this information 3 doctors, nurses, social workers and many more highly paid professionals wanted to place her in a home against her wishes,despite her being safe to return home with incowear and care !
I never understood how intelligent people were so dumb.
