i saw Fear in Detroit in about 88. it was the City Club. Now, it is the Detroit Police Department and the Detroit Womens' Athletic Club. I was always the the Detroit Womens' athletic club, but they had some down years. The Necros opened the show, and the Necros bass player got beat up real bad after their show. We talked with Lee Ving as we were the only people that recognized him. He was very upbeat. Going to Europe and having a lovely time. We, Jerry and I, stole all the records.

Saw these guys at the City Club (now the again, Detroit Ladies Athletic Club) and I had DWCivilization. We talked to the Black Flag guitarist and Lee Ving. Really nice people. And, they were very happy to share with us, as we were the only peeps that recognized them. They were off to Europe. The bassist for the Necros got beat up pretty badly, but otherwise, me and Jerry stole all the records out of the DJ booth. Lots of new wave. All in all, a good gig. R.I.P. Jerry.

I HATE trendy stupid popstars, bubblegum wannabe "wish to be punk band," power106 bands, rap bands, etc. Bands like Fear, Exploited, Social D., Germs, Crass, TSOL, Circle Jerks, GBH, Discharge, Suicidal Tendencies, Vandals, Black Flag, Christian Death, Addicts, etc. are legendary punk rock bands. Another good movie to watch about the struggles these bands went through is "ANOTHER STATE OF MIND."
