What has Obama done? Nothing. That is my problem. He gives these grand speeches about change yet has no plans to accomplish change. He claims he's going to change how Washington work, and maybe I'm a bit cynical but I don't think its realistic. He raises the hopes of the nation and doesn't realize thing must pass through over 500 members of Congress. Why would I vote for McCain? His senate record assures me he is a Maverick. No President can do all of what they promised. You said it yourself just then, it's all up to the congress. If teh president can make a compelling enough aurgument to the Senate and House of Reps, then it's possible to achieve roughly a third of their promises. Hilary is greatly despised right now in the Senate, and John McCain will have a tough time getting much of anything through the Democratic run Congress. Obama is well respected amongst the party right now. He'd get the job done.

If you're not lazy, then you go to his website to find out the specifics (those who lack internet access are obviously an exception). Clinton explains what she'll do because she knows that most people she's talking to don't have IP access.
Also, I doubt anyone believes that he doesn't lie. He may have lied about never hearing the offensive statements given by Reverend Wright. I'm not sure if he was lying or if God truly blessed him to not hear Wright during those sermons. Who knows?

In spite of the obvious ploy that she has in trying to basically destroy Obama instead of unify the country, her negative campaigning that reflects her Republican roots- she's proposing a (here it comes) Gas Tax that will likely kill over 300,000 highway construction jobs, jobs that Blue Collar voters often hold.

Reverse psycology has been used before, Rove says that Clinton is the better candidate because he wants people to vote against her.

No, I don't like the fact that he lied. I'm hoping that in the midst of that situation, the reason he lied was because he was in a panicked state over the controversy. But nonetheless, this situation is ultimately past him. It has yet to cripple his campaign, and the public is showing the capacity to look past the negative hype (Reverend Wright) and the positive hype (Gas Taxation). I can't help but agree with Michelle when she says that "Finally Proud of America."

That don't mean that Obama has adopted or accepted anything that Wright said. There is such a thing as adopting the things you like, and blocking out the things you don't like.
Example: Our Bishop let an elderly mother of our church go in January without her consent. He has promised to support her financially, yet he failed to keep up with his promise. His members know of this and still go. A lot of people just had nowhere else to go. This very well could've been the situation for Obama.

yes we do have ports in those countries but have we not helped Japan, Germany, and Russia rebuild? Are these countries not on some sort of "friend" basis with the US? We have a stake in those countries and we are one of the stronger countries. America sees itself as a protectorate nation because we believe that we should protect the weaker countries.
