Choro-Q. It's a Takara line of toys with pull-back motors in them. THe line dates back to 1978. The line was imported to the USA under the name "Penny Racers". THe line consisted of "Super-Deformed" style pull-back racers that could do wheelies if you put a penny in it.
The only ones that Transformed were a sub-line a few years ago consisting of Optimus, Rodimus and Megatron in G1 anime colors, with darker or metallic repaints of each figure. Each can be found on E-Bay for under $20
In the original Microman line, in which many molds from G1 would be taken, the mold that would become Bumblebee was supposed to disguise himmself as a scale Choro-Q racer.
More about Choro-Q, the orignal race car toys can be found under Choro-Q at Wkikipedia.
Also type "Choro-Q Transformers" at E-Bay to find the aforementioned TF toys from this line.

That is Convoy from Choro Q line.

I've got both versions of Rodimus and Megatron from that line. Can't find Prime himself anywhere.
The FAB Night Attack Megatron (On shelves now) reminds me a lot of the Choro-Q black Megatron variant. Which is probably why I bought it.
