Holy shit I didn't know this truck was still around! I always remember the footage of this truck and Bigfoot racing in 1987 I beleive that Hoosier Dome. The race ended with Bigfoot winning but also with Bigfoot doing an endo...Was one of the most iconic monster truck rolls ever.
What other trucks are still around? So far found: Texas Toy, Skoal Crusher, USA-1, Taurus.. Hot Stuff is listed for sale but sadly it's pretty junked out. Frankenstein, Monster Vette, and Wild Stang are all sitting getting rusted up...
I could tell you almost everything to know about the Toy. I used to work for one of the guys that built it. I have great respect and love for him and his family. The best driveline man in the buisness. I would go out behind the shop and stare at it in complete awe. The other guy that built it is a close friend of the family whom I share the same sentiment with. True legends in my book. C.C. Ring & Pinion in Corpus Christi. Just tell him Rat Boy sent you... Yes, Larry named me that.
there is an old school truck in my local area, tall cool 1 , It still runs in fact they just had it in bloomsburg for the jamboree, I have video of it at its home in altoona.
@ ColtCobra2002, I've watched those videos , great to see his truck reborn after all those years, one of the best examples of old school trucks I've seen in a while, it looked it was pulled out of a time warp.
I have been a fan of monster trucks since they first apeared so texas toy is no stranger to me , great to see it still is alive well unlike the crule fate of some , if you want to loose your lunch just look at what happened to frankenstine, monster vette, and wild stang, just siting out in the elements, graphics peeling , paint bleaching out and bird crap on them, in other words total neglect.
@Mr253raymond Hey man, if you want to see something truely breathtaking look up southern sunshine or go to southernsunshineracing dot come. Weve got a beautiful old school monster truck!
its great to see its at least still out there,,but it really should be restored. old monster trucks need to be saved as part of racing history. every other auto sport has its preservation and museums,,why not the early monsters.
i saw the recent pics of outlaw 35 and i almost teared up when i seen how bad of shape its in it was my favorite seeing it makes me wish i had the money to buy it id give the present owner what ever he wanted just to get my hands on it
I remember seeing this truck several times....Seems if I remember correctly...it was powered by a Allison/Detroit diesel. Back in the day this truck would travel w/ the Texas Armadillo and the Texas Outlaw trucks.
YES! this owas one of my favorite trucks back in the day, i have a few races of it on vhs still racing leadfoot and bigfoot to name a few. Great piece of history for the diesel industry and the monster truck industry. Is it still around? keep it together never part it out!
Wonder it she still has the rasing Body like she did back in the early days when she was racing or car crushing - Good to see a old Monster truck still running and owned by the same person and not handed down so many times
