  • Oh, Zoë Wanamaker is great.

  • I like this series, but its repeated tactless addition of lesbian romances is a bit frustrating. Its unnecessary and exploitative

  • @Blisterdude123 you heartless person. what is wrong with homosexuality? tell me.

  • @zedamyann12 No, read my comment again properly, nowhere did I say I had a problem with homosexuality. I have a problem with this series random abuse of it. It exploits it for its own sake and for the sake of controversy. Its not clever plot writing, its shameless grandstanding. Less so in this one, but much more so in Body in the Library. Read people's comments properly before replying next time.

  • @Blisterdude123 I agree that in some of these new AC episodes they have gratuitously inserted homosexuality, incest, and sexuality that AC never implied or included. But I just re-read this book and was surprised how strongly AC implied a lesbian rltnship btwn Murg & Hinch. As usual nowadays they have to be overt about it in order to make it more titillating (+ insult our intelligence by implying we couldn't figure it out for ourselves if it were presented in a subtle way.)

  • @jenniferh341 I hadn't meant to suggest that it was not present in this AC story; which you are correct in saying that there is an implied relationship between the two. It just irks me that its amplified for the sake of making a splash with the viewings. Its not bringing attention to an unfairly treated group of people, its...well...you used a good word for it, titilliating.

  • This is entertaining but the Joan Hickson version is much better, the acting finer and treatment of the book more detailed and extended (it last 2 hours 40 mins as against the 1 hour 30 here).

  • Catherine Tate... wow she can speak in any accent!

  • If i were Jane Marple and no matter where I went people DIED in horrible and dramatically convenient ways, I"D FREAKIN' KILL MYSELF!!!!

  • @14597ojai I have this theory that Miss Marple is actually herself the mastermind serial-killer behind all the murders and just happens to be an expert at framing others.

  • @JOHN91043353 I know Right!! ive been thinking the same thing of late.

  • @JOHN91043353 hahah same here sometimes

    ''Not in the slightest!''

How very true! Miss Marple does a lion's share of work in all the cases:)

  • @ellipsis000 Exactly, and she is never compensated. Or even acknowledged.

  • I love Zoë Wanamaker, an amazing actress :D

  • @ 7:30 what does the guy say.. do you feel "__"?

  • Murgatoyd is sooooooo cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't know how anyone could kill her.

  • i just love BRITISH ACCENT i do really i want to learn it but it is so diffecults to learn by movies only i'm trying my best

  • the murder was to at 6:30 pm not 7:30

  • I don't know why, but for some reason I always pictured Hinchcliffe and Murgatroyd being much older, though these actresses are very good. Anyone else?

  • @TalulahCarmichael I read the book after watching this and they are older, hence you picturing them as such :). I guess, due to a few characters being cut, making them younger allowed the story to flow more easily on screen... I agree with them being good actresses.

  • @Wuzzupy13 Ah! Thanks for clarifying, I couldn't remember! :) I'll have to reread the book, luckily it's on one of my shelves that's easy to get to.

  • The front desk is indeed handsome, he's norwegian actor CHRISTIAN RUBECK who appears in a leading role in film Rottenetter and in WW2 film "Max Manus" .

I highly recommend watching any of these films in which he appears.

  • Aw, he talks to his dog like me. <3

  • Good to see Zoe Wannamaker (Ariadne Oliver from Poirot).

  • The front desk clerk is really handsome and so it Letty's nephew (or is he her son?).

  • Oh my god this has got a good cast.

  • miss marples wooden tits at 6:30

  • @RobbieTyler1 I've been thinking exactly the same!

  • Just watching this because of Catherine Tate <3

  • One of my favourite episodes :D

  • Catherine Tate! I'm loving her accent xD

  • @Minty210 Catherine Tate is a great comic too 'The Catherine tate Show'

  • This episode made me cry! And the son at the beginning really needs a smack across the face!
