  • Such a brutal song. Go to be his best.

  • * * * * *

  • At first I was like: "this isn't Man Of The World"

  • Great song and great guitar playing. I wasn't familiar with Green's playing, but I realize that he has a wonderful unique voice on the instrument.

  • this song went out two months after ive been born... the main question in my life was: why i was born? id better havent been...

  • It's a song, It's up to you to make your Life!

  • Gripping what can any one say about this

  • @hexcane Well said that man, I couldnt agree more

  • what a voice , thank you for your gift peter .

  • Where was I? Peter Green is beautiful and what an amazing artist! Most of us think of Stevie Nicks and the latter Fleetwood Mac band but what a huge miss if we don't know Peter Green...love and hearts forever...

  • brilliant song brilliant band

  • I think this has to be one of my favourite Fleetwood Mac songs

  • 2 people are clinically dead

  • This makes me cry knowing what was to happen to Peter later. I am so glad he has pulled through. He's a wonderfully unique person. I wish all things bad on the b*astards who fed him and Danny Kirwen the drugs at that mansion. I wish all things good on Peter and may he continue to play in his great style and maybe find a good lady if that is still his wish.

  • A TORMENTED GENIUS!

  • @Gyphia I know what you mean, have a good ol´ cry to this one.

  • this is just lovely

  • Peter was definatly touched with genius, the way this song is constructed is perfect.

  • i wonder why this one person rejects this beytiful song,do not understand the meaning of the lyrics?

  • Sadest song even written.....make me choke up every time I hear it.

  • This guy is a master of melodies and simple lyrics. What a lovely sound.

  • this is a masterpiece , a true journey into the thoughts and feelings of the man himself , PETER GREEN , thanks for posting my friend

  • the first album I ever bought, a long time love . The songs take me back to me, before other people told me what like. I'm 55, I know what I like, and this is it......

  • I guess I’ve got everything I need

I would’t ask for more And there’s no one I’d rather be

But I just wish that I’d never been born..............

  • @68shamoa jesus you are serious. Life is so beautiful. I'm high on live and deep into music.

    Head high back straight.

  • @1aerjen1 68shamoa was writing the lyrics from 0:50 . They were highlighted in the BBC4 documentary 'Peter Green - Man of the World'. Very good program. It's on BBC iPlayer, if you can get to see it. ♫☺♪

  • @goatlps Saw it-.so sad , yet so inspiring..I always thought that it was Clapton who was 'God'........but it was Peter after all.......

  • @1aerjen1 lyrics dude. . .

  • @1aerjen1 lyrics dude. . .

  • @68shamoa What the chap commenting below didn't understand was the paradox of that line he quoted. (Who would rather be anybody but themselves?) juxtaposed with "but I just wish that I'd never been born"! I have on occasion related to that sentiment, so I sort of understand the lyric.

  • Such amazing song on so many levals, i don't know what it does inside or how i feel when i hear it ? But with much slight deliberation it is a wonderful song. Any song that makes you feel somthing you have never felt before is a masterpiece.

  • fuckin a...

  • top documentary, I watched it but its now unavailable! why really whats trhe point?

He was a reason I ever picked up a guitar, so emotional in the notes, truly inspiring, shame what happened to him, glad he is back doing what h\e loves though

Ay one plase rate my first effort at writting and recording my first track, its on my page, thanks top music lovers

  • magical

  • I remember the first time I heard this masterpiece back in ' 69, chills ran down my spine. They still do !.

  • Beautiful.

  • Fleetwood Mac's "Live At The BBC" recordings were sheer magic!!!

  • Incredible, this. This BBC version was even better than the official one, which in itself forever will live its own life. Still, rest in peace, willy b - my just gone mentor and long lost friend. Take good care, Unni.

  • @diddywahdaddy most of their live versions are better than the originals to be fair, especially black magic woman, absolutely incredible band.

  • why albatros at start

  • @topshoter2007 the song is copyrighted and this is the only way to get it on youtube

  • @1aerjen1 got ya cheers

  • @1aerjen1 Superfly ;-D

  • @topshoter2007 does it really matter or do you just want people to know you spotted it?

  • @topshoter2007 Why not?

  • This song is a work of genius. It totaly captures and expresses his mind at that time and

i'm sure it describes how others have felt and still feel.

  • This gives me chills

  • When (which year) was this recorded - it is superb - thank you so much

  • @internurd 15the June 1969 ;)

  • @1aerjen1 Actually Was April 1969

  • @internurd the same year mr.green wrote the green manalishi so that must be 1968

it also was the start of the end, because you can hear in man of the world that peter green was losing it.after mrs.mccvie entered the group they where making commercial bull-shit.unfortunaly.

  • great song great muso, peter green is a legend

  • Sheer perfection!!!

  • @1aerjen1 Thanks for getting it on !!!

  • A very meaningful song.
