Where was I? Peter Green is beautiful and what an amazing artist! Most of us think of Stevie Nicks and the latter Fleetwood Mac band but what a huge miss if we don't know Peter Green...love and hearts forever...
This makes me cry knowing what was to happen to Peter later. I am so glad he has pulled through. He's a wonderfully unique person. I wish all things bad on the b*astards who fed him and Danny Kirwen the drugs at that mansion. I wish all things good on Peter and may he continue to play in his great style and maybe find a good lady if that is still his wish.
the first album I ever bought, a long time love . The songs take me back to me, before other people told me what to like. I'm 55, I know what I like, and this is it......

@1aerjen1 68shamoa was writing the lyrics from 0:50 . They were highlighted in the BBC4 documentary 'Peter Green - Man of the World'. Very good program. It's on BBC iPlayer, if you can get to see it. ♫☺♪
@68shamoa What the chap commenting below didn't understand was the paradox of that line he quoted. (Who would rather be anybody but themselves?) juxtaposed with "but I just wish that I'd never been born"! I have on occasion related to that sentiment, so I sort of understand the lyric.
Such amazing song on so many levals, i don't know what it does inside or how i feel when i hear it ? But with much slight deliberation it is a wonderful song. Any song that makes you feel somthing you have never felt before is a masterpiece.
top documentary, I watched it but its now unavailable! why really whats trhe point?
He was a reason I ever picked up a guitar, so emotional in the notes, truly inspiring, shame what happened to him, glad he is back doing what h\e loves though
Ay one plase rate my first effort at writting and recording my first track, its on my page, thanks top music lovers
Incredible, this. This BBC version was even better than the official one, which in itself forever will live its own life. Still, rest in peace, willy b - my just gone mentor and long lost friend. Take good care, Unni.
@internurd the same year mr.green wrote the green manalishi so that must be 1968
it also was the start of the end, because you can hear in man of the world that peter green was losing it.after mrs.mccvie entered the group they where making commercial bull-shit.unfortunaly.
1:42 is some SERIOUS musical orgasm...

Great song and great guitar playing. I wasn't familiar with Green's playing, but I realize that he has a wonderful unique voice on the instrument.

This song is a work of genius. It totaly captures and expresses his mind at that time and
i'm sure it describes how others have felt and still feel.
