RMAO @ :25, back in the day we used to always peek out the train when it got to every stop. Dunno why bruvas used to do that. Prolly to make sure no other rival crew was about to get on the train.
Hahah! Aw I wish I was from NYC - little things like seeing buckshot on the train make me hyped like you wouldn't believe. After listening to hiphop for 10+ years its like the holy land to me. I want to ride the train just to ride it.
hahaha thas sick man.. yeah i know they wear jersey's but hockey ones?? hahaha.. fucken dope.. I'm from Canada by the way that's why I noticed it.. For a sec I thought buckshot was part canadian or sum shit. haha.
hahaha.. yeah Im from Vancity but man It's sick its like he's reppin Canada hahaha.. Plus the song is str8 up DOPE! It's on repeat whenI walk around now that its winter. haa..
The way they flip this sample is just dope.. as a yougnster I never understood the context (lyrics) of this song until years later. Homie made a record about robbing people and used different analogies on how you shouldnt front. This is lyricism at its finest.
yeap i agree with you. Now days you have women shaking their tingz and fat cars TO SELL THE RECORD. Back in the days you just had the mic and you just had to ryhme. I miss the old days....Days when music was REAL!!
Black Moon is underrated, mayne. Enta da Stage was a str8 classic too. Bucksot Shorty used to wreck. But alot of people are just being introduced to Buckshot thru his project w/ 9th Wonder, Black Moon was real as fuck. Also, BCC had some of the illest beats in the 90s. There's only a few raw rap groups in da game now. Niggas just be sellin out the group thing for solo success, only to find out that its fuckin lonely at the top (Not tryna say Buckshot sold-out, cuz he still hood wit it), ya know.
i completely agree with you to the fullest. black moon was very overlooked. enta da stage is way better than any jay z or biggie album or the majority of other albums that go platinum. most albums that sell well are mostly pop albums than hip hop albums.
For all fans of real hip hop and people that are sick of this radio mainstream commercial shit that is polluting the the art of hip hop, I got good news fa you. I'm a 16 year old lyricist comin' from Buffalo, NY tryin to get support from the underground so I can bring real hip hop back. I do all styles of hip hop. Westcoast G-Funk type shit, hardcore grimy Wu Tang type shit, I'm servin bomb shit for every coast. So peep my channel out. Peace.
U already know ima stay true to myself. That's why I dont rap about gunz and sellin drugs cause that aint what I do. and yea I stopped sayin nigga in my rhymes so people will take me more seriously. New tracks comin up by tha way. and I appreciate the support.
Na. lol. my style is almost fully developed. Peep my new vids they MUCH better. the shit I had before was when I was still recording on sound recorder so they didnt really sound good.
yo man for to only be 16...i see some skill.keep dat shit up...u kno u gonna catch hell for droppin "nigga" in ya rhymes even though it aint said with cruel intention...jus my opinion though.yall go check out this kids videos on his page.
Time could stand still, the earth could stop revolving around the sun, the cosmos as we know it could wink out of existence and this would STILL be one of the fattest mf'n tracks ever recorded in the 1990's or any other decade.
I stopped listening to rap music about 1998/9 because it was becoming so tired and formulaic, reluctantly and sadly moved onto other types of music, but started buying a few new albums in the last few months and they are pretty good, but the Black Moon was and still is hard to beat. Good times esp' as at the time I lived in Ireland and there was probably half a dozen people who had heard of them out of a few milion. Hard to better.
"Woke up in da Morning hop on the train and saw my man/He had a L in hand" Classic 94 shit. Niggas could blow chronic in street without being harassed. Believe it or not that made everything easier cause nigga did'nt have to move mucky when they dirty with Weed on them. The Good ol days.
Thats whats make people move suspicious. The fact youhave to hide with your shit. I mean i don't even smoke but damn for all of the smokers that ain't hurt nobody thats some bullshit.
lmao, seems like the majority of yotube regs thinks hip hop was better in the 90's, I agree of course, fuck 50, fuck banks, fuck yayo, fuck soulja etc etc. The same goes with rock music too IMHO
But what does it take to get hip hop back to what it was? Is it because almost all mc's out there are lured by the money 50 makes and just try to copy or what?
Dj Evil E, DJ Premier, and Prodigy of Mobb Deep, made the best beat's for the main stream shit in the 90's. My ex-girl was a groupie hoe, and fked RZA and Methodman, ill..so she thinks RZA was the best, bull fcken shit, and I'll tel him in his fcken face. Most his beats sounded the same, boring. Beat's, that was the problem he made beat's not music- the full spectrum. Basically, the first line on an EQ would move while the other bars remained dtill, feel me.
Classic!! This song takes me back to like 6th grade... Im 25 and I miss this stlye of Hip-Hop. The early 90's brought the best stlye. Rhymes with a purpose and intelligent. I miss this shit. Dilated Peoples, Mos , Nas, Talib, Atmosphere and a few others are still keeping it real and rockin live shows. But this is far and few in between with all the crap out there. The biggest pile of crap has to be Lil Wayne. Nothing good to say about that guy. PERIOD. He is destroying the REAL rap game.
You know whats great? Every time i find an old, fantastic, mind blowing song from the golden era, then look into the comments, there is a diss of Soulja Boy. helllz ya!
Datz exactly how I feel, I know dat when people say fuck Soulja Boy/Wayne/50, dat dey acknowledge dat der needz 2 be more balance in Rap. Itz easier 2 point tha finga at tha same 1z. Don't get me wrong I can't stand Wayne but alot more people are to blame. Itz all bowt supply n demand, if people didn't like dat shit, rappaz wudnt make it n if people didn't buy it, dey wudn't become famous. It might sound obvious but if Hip Hop is dead, itz becuz of greed n lack of balance.
My shit to this day, nostalgic feel for real. I guess soulja boy was about 3 or 4 when this came out, no wonder he don't know what real hip hop is lol
damn i love bombin to dis track....... and for yall dat dont kno wat bombin means well ima graff writer and bombin is wat yall call (tagging) "god i hate sayin dat word"

And to the dude three comments down. I can understand where you comming from with soulja boy, but lil wayne is hip hop. how many rhymes and records do you have to sell to be hip hop? He's been rappin since 11 years old. half of his albums are freestyles. Not to many MC's can make freestyles into hit records. Quit hatin and listen to the nigga.

I am a nas fan since 91 and from the golden era of hip hop 93 94 95 were the biggest years in hip hop I have listened to his albums all of them he is alright but some of his stuff is wack and bubble gum type shit--they are calling the carter 3 a classic but that is the source today, but nas new album is totaly lyrical and every song has a message another classic album by the 14 year vet. I hear lil wayne just cant feel it, hes just like 50 let see how many units I can push Peace!!
Absolutely Amazing Track! I'll never forget when I first saw this video. The hair on the back of my neck stood up. My first thought, "I'm buying this CD right now!"
Amazing!
Nothing as good as this played today on mainstream radio/TV. It's a shame.
All I hear is the same Kayne West or 50c song played Over and over and over and over over and over agin.....
when hip hop had soul and originality. look i am tired of beeing pissed adn sitting back watching these rappers(well they asume to be) and bet butcher hip hop. look im serious lets start a petetion to make bet and mtv to start showing more old school and underground aritst whos with me. im serious message me if you want to be apart of this movemnet.
Man it still fucks with me when I put Rap City on thesedays. I still expect to see and hear legit shit like this. But instead they pollute us with Solja Boy Lil Wayne and all those fake ass dick sucking contaminated pig fuckers .Man I miss this shit. Man Black Moon just killed it plain and simple. Wouldn't it be cool if you made Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Soja Boy and all the other discrases battle Buckshot on National television.? But BET wouldn't have the balls nor would the fake ass artists.
Takes me back! I remember buying Enta Da Stage(my favorite album) and at first being furious that this remix wasn't on the joint. But, man, did artists have it back then!
I could close my eyes, go to my bed and listen to this joint 10000 times a day. This is what hiphop and rap is all about. Sick ass joint!
