why dont you change the res to 1024x768 ?

I wonder if anyone will start posting image files that can be copied right onto SD cards with Ubuntu and Compiz fully configured for the Eee PCs. It would make setting the PC up very much easier since the hardware would all be the same.

Which version of the eeepc is this? I'm getting a 2g surf - will that be able to run this config?

2GB SSD...not likely. If you booted off of SDHC I suppose but it would be sloooow.
