This is my story of how I came to like velvet revolver - I heard GnR when I was like 12 but I was more into sk8 punk at the time.... oh, and GnR were so much more popular. Even til today. then i heard and fell in love with STP. During Stp, I was listening to GnR. When I picked up the guitar and saw people playing Sweet Child o mine solos, I wanted to do the same. At the end of the day, I'm more of a singer person than a guitarist. Both Axl and Weiland have an amazing voice. I love em both.

Come on! Stop comparing their former bands. Guns N Roses were legends, Stone temple pilots were awesome as well. This is just a totally different band with a totally different concept. Slash's guitar style changed with this band as well. I was even doubtful about listening to VR because I loved GNR very much, but when I played my VR cd, it was actually very good.

Well, like with Guns N' Roses, there are many different reasons. They were annoying of Scott because he was kind of a bitch and thought he was greater than he actually was. I dont know the story in detials though. I think he got officially fired in April 2008. They were freezing him outta the band during last years tour. I had friends who saw the band backstage that year, and the only person who wasnt there was Scott. He had his own bus aswell, and the rest of the band shared another one.
