it has multi-touch mousepad meaning u can use like three fingers on the mousepad and it will be detected and used to scroll like webpages and stuff. plus the webcam ahs to be enabled by pressing something in the FN + F11 I think

with the eeepc aswell, you need to turn on the webcam in the bios cause the default setting for it in the bios is off....why you may ask, cause in the "surf" models there is no webcam and all the 7 series eeepc use the same mainboard, so that is why...and to answer youe question madgamer, Yes! the ram on the 701 4g/8g models is upgradeable and aslong as you use ddr2 ram you should be fine, and it'ss take up to 2gb of ram in one stick, as there is only 1 ram bay

Yes but it can go max of 2gb and you need 1 2gb stick because you cant use 2 1gb sticks. It has to be 667 mhz ram.

Yes. Just check specs before asking. I even played DVD-video from external DVD-drive powered just from usb cable. Works just fine.

The laptop is not comparable with a more expensive PC or laptop..

But, it's good enough for some research, watching vids on youtube or chatting..

But if you really have to type alot, get something bigger..

It's too small if you have to type alot (example: notes) hope this answers ur question!

Dont understand. Dosnt that resoution sux? Hardly can fit configuration setting screens. Was thinking of geting one...is it really worth the money? I got an older x40 seems better and much bigger plus 1024x768

I come from the days of using Windows 95 at 640x480 resolution on a 14" monitor so the answer is yes, it's fine and more than enough for a 7" screen.

i've also used an amiga 1000 at 640 x 200 with 16 colors, and 320x200 256 colors for dpaint.

then there's the commodore 64 which had 16 colors and something like 160x200 rez...lol.
