My grandmother died, and I remember my mother coming over, sitting in my chair, and hearing this song.. she seemed to be in a trance, thinking about her mother's life. 6 months later, mother died. Now when I hear this, I think of that moment. I plan on making a picture/video of my mother's pictures, with this song playing.

I majored in Spanish, yet I had no idea that this song was in Spanish until the very end when I heard "soñadora" and said, "that sounds like the Spanish word for dreamer." I don't quite know how to put it...it's like she sings in Spanish how she sings in other languages. Her style of singing did not bring out the Spanish lyrics. I thought it was more Gaelic.
