  • THUMBS THE FUCK UP!!!!

  • I always like to imagine the crows in the band are the same ones who were in Dumbo. It makes absolutely no difference to anything... I just think it would be cool.

  • @jakobitis89 they probably were.the cartoon has disney and looney toons in it and the crows in dumbo were musicians.i'll watch dumbo again to confirm it.

  • "I've worked with a lot of wise 'quackers,' but YOU are des-s-s-s-picable!"

  • i was wondered who did the voice for the gorrila doorman

  • 2:42 cocaine is a helluva drug

  • betty boop is still my number 1 toon gal

  • 0:27-0:32 X-D

  • This whole scene is just fantastic :') Especially with Daffy and Donald at the beginning! <3

  • I just love how when Daffy's playing the piano, he's not only using his hands but other stuff like the Rubber Chicker :D

  • Thankxxx alot Jessica! Now I have girl wood. Hey, did any of you see that animators joke were her and Eddie Valant are in the cartoon taxi getting chased when D.i.p gets spilled on the road they get thrown from the car, Jessicas dress flys open in the front shes not wearing panties? Sweet jesus-one of the best 3 seconds of the whole movie!!! Unfortunatly some stupid cunt ratted out Disney and they took it out of the film in the later copies. If you can find the oldest vhs you can still see it.

  • I love it,the crow gang from Dumbo were the backup band!

  • ......one of the many reasons im gay lol

  • Wasn't there a part when she flashes something

    But this movie is legendary

  • 5:40 When she puts her hand into Eddie's jacket - WOW! It really looks like her hand went under the jacket's fabric. All these subtle attentions to detail make these cartoons seem so real! It's amazing!

  • @GaeanMiskui For those shots where she's actually interacting with him, they had a body double and drew over her.

  • @Eidlones Yes! You can see it when she grabs his tie; the glove of her right hand that grabs the tie actually isn't animated, it's the double's hand!

  • @Eidlones What did Donald say at 1:06? All I understood was "Cut it out!" I have a hard time understanding Donald Duck's voice sometimes (Who doesn't?).

  • @Videoroamer1 "Hey, hey! Cut it out!"

  • @Eidlones Thank you!

  • Dude she is naked at 4:24 watch the glossy stage as she the camera zooms out she is naked!

  • Few years later Roger and Jessica Rabbit suggested to an unknown inspiring publisher to start a magazine company named "Playboy". ha get it? jessica is roger's playboy bunny.

  • My favorite scene in the whole movie. I love Donald and Daffy and all the amazing work that went into making this magic happen!

  • And i mean ice.

  • @haloabc1234 The user who uploaded this video said that he did not want to hear the "nigger" controversy. He even said it IN THE DESCRIPTION!!!

  • ohmygod, the song played by tom and jerry in that cat concierto episode!!!

  • Nice monkey suit

  • @hackensac "Wise ass..."

  • @gasratscotty1 I know exactly who the film is geared towards, but that doesnt change the fact that Disney would not let one of their major characters utter a racial slur.

Plus the writer of the script has said he wrote "god darn stubborn nitwit".

  • @Eidlones It doesnt sound anything like nitwit to me.

  • @Eidlones I hope you know that disney is extremely racist... You have no idea what you are saying. The script says god darn stubborn nitwit yes, but its subliminally put in there...

  • @Supersyco1 Clearly you are an expert on what the CURRENT owners of Disney feel on various ethnicities.

  • @Eidlones Maybe because i work for disney?

  • @Eidlones AND to add to that, i hope you know this movie was made in 1988...

  • @Supersyco1 Uh huuh and I was talking about walt being the racist head of the company. give me any proof that the head of disney at the time the movie was made was a blatant racist.

  • Um how can you even say the N bomb part is a fake i own the VHS copy and Donald says it clearly 100% either your a black man who got offended or your just an idiot who doesnt understand Period Humor and back in the 30's that was a common word... just so you know

  • @Neoclassicalman This movie was made in the 80's by 2 major movie companies. It may have been accurate for the time the movie takes place but there is absolutely no way Disney would allow one of their characters to spew off a racial slur.

And it's not a fake, people just misheard it and it's one of those once you hear it you cant unhear it. There's a song I really like that I cannot unhear "slap me in the eye with a piece of bologa" even though they clearly arn't saying that. Same thing.

  • @Eidlones donald is always cursin and did yhu see the little mermaid scandal with the dick in the caastle?? or pochahotus if yhhu look close enough yhu can see the word 'sex' in many scenes of the movie. i think disney would do that

  • @SiSiAdorable The "dick in the castle" was done by an artist who'd been up all night drawing, he was tired and it accidently slipped in. The "sex" thing is from the Lion King, it can be taken as either SEX or SFX, people see both.

Both those examples are from animators messing up to some degree, not Disney making a conscious decision to include something that would widely be considered extremely offensive.

  • :D *Laughs at Donald*

  • Scotch on the rocks, AND I MEAN ICE!!!

  • aw, I find it strangely touching when eddie smiles (!) warmly at betty and says, 'yeah, you still got it.'

  • Anyone else remember Tom from Tom and Jerry playing the same song on piano?

  • "Scotch on the rocks, I MEAN ICE!"

  • lol i watched this scene 4 more minutexs than the actual moive! LOL

  • Anyone know where the monkey/octopus bartender is from?

  • Ooga booga!!

  • I love that movie.

  • I remember as a kid....

3:59-4:09- expecting a funny-looking female rabbit, with something just like they do in a lot of cartoons- the original male character's looks but more feminine like with long eyelashes, blushes, giggly voice etc etc

    4:10-4:15- "what the-?"

    4:17- onward O_O - is officially confused

At first made me feel a bit uneasy because as a little kid, I didn't understand much of the adult content

But then I figured she's a lot more original than the rabbit I had in mind xD

  • OMG, she knows how to strut her stuff! This coming from a preteen!

  • Lol the password to get in was ''Walt Sent Me'' , as in Walt Disney lmao

  • What Nigger Contversy ?

  • I'd hit it....

  • The stage is a dick

  • is Betty Boop Warner or Disney?

  • @langtongirl She belongs to Paramount (licensed to Lions Gate now) if I remember correctly.

  • @langtongirl Warner! (:

  • Did the gorilla make a "wanker" sign to eddie in this clip???

  • @Justinsupermagic Now that you mention it, I think he DID! All this time, I thought he just raised his fist like he was saying "go fuck this".

  • did anyone here what donald said to daffy

  • @mrwisme

Contrary to the people who claim he's swearing, he actually said "Doggone Stubborn little"

  • @AviDoro I think your right on that, but Donald has a speech impetimate so it could sound like lots of things, gulp, even cursing!

  • @AllHailKingKurt lol true. But the problem with that is that people tend to hear what they want to hear, so anything could be made out to sound wrong ;) Just like the stupid baby doll controversy where they thought it was saying "Islam is the light". I listened to it and only heard babbling until they mentioned that. And even though I could hear the message, it still only sounded like babbling.

  • I wonder if it took a lot of legal wrangling to have iconic Disney and Warner Bros. characters appearing the same film.

  • @WastedPo you have no idea.

  • @WastedPo

Lots of it. Warner's contract was explicit in that certain counterparts of theirs be given the exact same amount of screen time as the Disney characters, IE: Mickey and Bugs, Donald and Daffy, so on. But really the thing that sold it was Sullivan Bluth, a new animation company in the 80s that was kicking both their tails. This was sort of an alliance made to get back at them.

  • Wise ass!

  • there's gonna be a sequel but it will be 2d mixed with motion capture so it won't be the same

  • @MBGamingLegends What? Nooooooooo!!!!!!

  • Looking at this clip, I think this is what made cartoons seem so real to me as a child. The way the animated characters are highlighted and shadowed (and given shadows as well), the interaction between toons, humans, and inanimate objects, and just the reactions from the real people... It's all incredible to me how real it looks. even today.

  • memo.......dont piss off born natural redhair girls

  • So how many of you boys turned into the Tex Avery wolf when watching this scene?

  • @GroovieBuff All the (straight) boys, and probably even the animators themselves.

  • The dueling pianos scene with donald and daffy is one of the best scenes ever

  • My favorite scene :D I love this song, and she sang this song so well, and the part where she grabs his tie and is in his face like she's ganna kiss him...Just a great touch :P

  • what is the song that the ducks played on the piano

  • @GokuSkater94 Hungarian Rhapsody!!! I just found out myself. ;-)

  • "Scotch on the rocks"

    "AND I MEAN ICE!!!!!!"

  • I think the Toons think Roger is the catch because he's the "funny one" while Jessica's the beauty. And Toons probably judge attractiveness by how funny you are.

  • I agree with you because later on n the movie someone asks Jessica what she sees in Roger, I think it was Eddie Valiant, and she says "he makes me laugh".

  • Aww Betty :[

  • "WISE-ASS!!!"

  • The Ink & Paint Club would be a great night out. :D

  • ...what controversy? (not being a smartass or anything; just never heard anything about it and am quite curious..)

  • Comment removed

  • @TonPappa

Except thats pure bull shit. The laserdisc and original vhs has a scene where Jess flies out of Benny, and you see different colored "skin" on her crotch. Laserdisc allowed people to frame by frame it and actually notice. They recolored it for vhs re-release and dvd.

i get the feeling you watched the nostalgia critics laserdisc review and let your mind run wild to sound cool.

  • true. ive never seen the laser disc version or any other version besides the vhs one bc im not a nerd who does thoes stupid frame by frame things and whatch the screen for something, and i didn't really see thoes critics review, just herd it from a friend and im to tired to really double check my sources. sorry for that. just dont have time to check. too busy. also i just said that so he can check for himself rather than leaving a comment where he could just search it on goggle.......

  • That gorilla that opened the door seemed scary when i was a kid.. was it just me?

  • When I first saw Daffy Duck and Donald Duck play piano together, I was the happiest kid in the world!

  • And they say that gentlemen prefer blondes. Hah! Jessica Rabbit is living proof that that's a lie!

  • @cancanwench "Living"

  • Redheads are natural competitors for blondes!

  • gentleman prefer boobs.

  • oh my goodness, this is my jam haha

  • Daffy and donld made this movie of the first 30 mins of the movie, made it so addicting.

  • I love the duck battle!

  • DAFFY VS DONALD! Hilarious!

    LOOOVE THEEEM!!!!!

Doeff anyone underfftand that thiff duck iff ffaying?

  • Awesome scene, great song and vid

  • i said couple times that every girl has got fire in their hearts and jessica just proves that right all the way

  • I find it kind of funny when Valiant says, "She's married to Roger Rabbit?" And Betty says, "Ya, what a lucky girl." I find it funny cause I think Roger Rabbit is really the lucky one, not Jessica. haha

  • It implies that the toons think its Jessica who was lucky to land someone out of her league. My theory is they rate attractiveness by how well a toon defies the laws of physics.

  • Or maybe the more inhuman you look, the more attractive you are? The animal-types must be real stunners.

  • @composer321 lol, exactly :P

  • @composer321 I'm sure he'd agree with you.

  • @composer321 toons...

  • Damn, Jessica Rabbit is HOT, cartoon or not. And having Daffy and Donald Duck in a scene together is absolutely inspired.

  • betty is brilliant

  • 1:30

  • 0:57

  • When she first walked out, all I had to say was, "Daaaaaaaaamn." Why have I never seen this movie before?

  • only thing that interested me is your reference to 'the nigger controversy' what;'s that? dont tease us? what is it?

  • Basically, it was a rumour that in the opening scene, Daffy is calling Donald out for his speech, to which Donald replies, "dog-gone stubborn (something)! I'll get it!"

The something thought to be n***** turned out to be "beggar" it's on the subtitles to the dvd, but if you listen carefully you'll hear it clearly.

  • @cancanwench I for one didn't even think he said it anyways, but now I know exactly what he said! You're absoluelty right, "beggar" comes in clear as a bell.

  • @cancanwench Sounded like "little" to me *shrug*

  • great movie for its time.

  • 5:42-6:09 i've never seen anyone come on so strongly before.. she almot seems angry lol

  • Same here on the racism thing. :D and yeah, that Roger Rabbit marriage thing was funny. xDD

  • Ahh... My two favorite cartoon characters in my favorite animated movie. This is my favorite scene!

  • this means war

  • god, waaaaay better than any 2d combined with live action film today. i mean, theres no inaccuracy on the collision between the drawing and real objects. its beautiful

  • "Nice monkey suit"

    "Wise ass!"

love that part, hell I love the whole movie.

  • Mae Questel is amazing. I<3Betty Boop. Even with the racism... which I didn't even understand until I was older. But I'm black..and I don't even care. Also, I love how Valient is like, "she's married to Roger Rabbit" when he sees Jessica and Betty is like, "yeah... what a lucky GIRL." like... riiiight. She's the lucky one...

  • The Daffy and Donald scene always made me laugh!

  • they dont even get to finish it

  • i love how rough she is w/ valient..you dont find many women like her, who are as sexi and seductive she is.

  • Jessica Rabbit was definitely the only cartoon I had the hots for. Though I wasn't even old enough to know what "the hots for" meant.

  • Oh yeah, Scotch on the rocks. Damn that's funny.

  • @zapkvr I just go that, after about 10 years

  • i don't get it :L lol x

  • That Octopus is way better looking than Tom Cruise.

  • What is that song that Daffy and Donald were playing? It's driving me out of my mind.

  • Hungarian Rhapsody -an animation classic

  • Hungarian Rhapsody.

  • is it just me or does she flirt wit eddy? XD

  • "You think that's funny?"

    "It's a panic!"

  • Who does her voice?

This movie is still one of the greatest ever, hands down.

  • Amy Irving does the singing.

    Kathleen Turner does the voice.

  • 5:40-5:46 = Instant Boner

  • Haha, Daffy and Donald should have been in more stuff together, hilarity would insue.

...and Betty Boop is a lot more cute in this than sexy.

  • 6:07. "HE JIZZED IN HIS PANTS" im orry. i cant be the only one to think of that

  • I laughed soooo hard at 1:43

    Mr Acme is so great.

  • I love how Daffy comments on how Donald is hard to understand, while Daffy himself has lisp.

  • Thats the joke.

  • Is it ok to think a cartoon character is damn hot?

  • yes, infact it is.

  • if it's Jessica Rabbit, then yes

  • great movie..

  • Oh god, even though she's a cartoon every girl who sees this wants to be her... including me XD

  • I did a great Betty Boop imitation when I was little. This is still one of the best movies ever to me and my childhood!

  • I wanted to ask two things after watching...

Are those the crows from Dumbo performing as the band?

Also when Jessica grabs Eddie's tie to pull him out his chair at the end of the clip is it a real gloved hand rather than an animation with the rest of Jessica drawn ajacent?

  • In the making of stuff they showed that most instances of the cartoons touching the people were done with little robots with very thin limbs. Those could then be drawn over with the wider toons.

  • One thing I really like about this is that that's Mae Questel, the real Betty Boop doing her voice 50 years later. She's still got it.

No one really recognizes Stubby Kaye, but he's the original Nicely-Nicely from Guys and Dolls.

  • jessica rabbit the hottest cartoon ever, luv the song too!

  • Jessica is so cool.

I still can't believe this kind of thing was played on the freaking Disney Channel when I was young.

And parents let their kids watch it. It's not terribly bad, but it's kinda racy.

    My faveorite disney movie, though!

  • 6:04 somebody just came...wow.

  • This movie was way ahead of its time

  • She never slept wit him they played patty cake. Seriously, they just played patty cake

  • Litterally.lol

  • Can anyone tell me how you can see Jessica *dancing* in the NES game?

  • Space Jam has nothing on this stuff.

  • making that dress must've been a nightmare...

    this was before CGI.

  • lol you hear some fool in the background nut him self at 6:06

  • Walt sent me? Walt who? Oooh.

  • I figured out it would have been Walt Disney but I dont get it.

  • Ok.

  • Walt SIDNEY. lol

  • There was one scene where Jessica said, "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way." My parents cracked up at that.

  • be honest, guys, how many of you fantasize about this cartoon character? lol. i'll admit, this cartoon girl is the sexiest girl i've ever seen, real or animated.

  • 5:36. Best. Fucking. Shot. EVER!!!!
