  • The monetary system aswell as the religious, are out of date. Human behavior has the ability to change, just look at technology. We are entering an age when human labour will come to a massive hault. This is because manufacturing is becoming automated. As a species we need to embrace a paradise like society with the whole world. It wont be god who gave it to us, it was us who created it. Become apart of the Zeitgeist Movement. Its the ONLY way we could experience our true human potential....

  • Don't Get Foreclosed On Modify Your Loan go to homesaver(DOT)tk

  • Bush didnt cause this. Bush didnt cause gas prices. Some Gizzies just wanted to raise prices. Energy is everything. You need tranportation. heat your house. and everything else. Also The economy being down is a great time to become successful. people are to lazy to try and make more money. there also to stupid.

  • You're right, he didn't cause it, but he did play a part. Wasting a billion dollars a day in Iraq did its fair share of damage.

  • Environment is a huge issue - far bigger than the economy. What use is the economy if we have nothing to support. Also I object to my tax dollars propping up foreign banks like Westpac and ANZ. I want to support New Zealand industry - like Kiwibank. Also to those dumbasses that dont already know it - Asian were here well before the European. Maori and Polynesian DNA proves that.

  • <3 i love u LOVE MEEEEE J

  • I dont want to vote for any of these 2 idiots, they both sound like children, im going to vote for the Family party, so we can atleast have someone in parliament that cares about families.

  • Screw the environment we can always buy a new one if we have a good economy!

  • please someone get rid of Working for Families by giving the equivilant amount back to in tax cuts? i.e., cut taxes back so that families (workers) get back the equivilant of what they would get through working for families! surely this would cut out beaurocracy (processing costs), & also set a threshold around 5 to 10 grand annual income where you don't pay tax at all! allowing famlies to invest, save, own homes,.. but no nanny state is scared of inflation & people determining their own futures

  • people who want tax cuts are ignorant, greedy bastards. the economies fucked and the New Zealand government simply cant afford it. Helen is a realist. John is a false profit. he cant and he wont deliver.

  • look at it this way,.. tax is YOUR money you've worked hard for and are forced to hand over to the government! Dubai is TAX free!, we can achieve a better economy than what Labour has done,.. I do agree though that some form of taxation is necesary but not at 30% and above...

  • The economy is as you so eloquently put it "fucked" because Helen Clark overtaxed and put money into nonproductive election bribes like interest free student loans. Were it put into tax cuts, more productive people would remain in NZ, we would not have the problems of skills shortages and needing to spend so much extra on education. Lower company taxes and less red tape would similiarly incourage more business to move to or stay in New Zealand, and we would not have all these factories closing.

  • Its funny how labour and their supporters seem to make the middle classes and successful people the enemy. According to labour you are evil if you work hard run a business, employ people, and actually contribute to economic growth. That is why we need National, to encourage growth in what is undoubtedly going to be (and has already been for much of the year) difficult times.

  • ever heard of user pays? A much fairer tax system, where heading there anyway, so we might as well have as much money in our own pockets back that the government takes from you. Our economy is 'fucked' is it. How'd you come to that conclusion? NZ is okay, its the US that is 'fucked' Oh I know what you mean, Labour failed to regulate the booming housing market, and they sent our retirement money overseas for someone else to use. They are very clever. Cullen is a Dr of Fuck All by the way.

  • So Labours failure to regulate the Housing market, ie allowing the free market to regulate itself, wouldn't have occurred under National, the "capitalist" party that is an even stronger backer of free market oriented economics??? And you think National wouldn't have also invested in schemes that every banker on the planet was recommending????

So I guess you must be in favor of full state intervention in the markets. Some kind of weird user pays/Communist crossbreed perhaps would suit you????

  • speculation v fact

  • Yes I am, the people running the markets are obviously incapable of self regulation.

  • fuck off clark, you dont give a shit about kiwi's, you have fucked N.Z up!and key, your a goose! please go away

  • also im not impressed by helens debating skills. First skill i learnt in debating is not to make a personal attack on the opposing party. Helen stikes a low blow when she says "you might be used to shouting people down at home but your not shouting me down" hmmm ego issues? or perhaps shes not used to being the least manly voice in the room haha. shes a joke. GO NATIONAL!!

  • maori party haha newzealand would crash and burn. Helen clark needs to go. Shes ruined nz enough already. i want a healthy economy when im older not one thats munted. i also want to stay in nz its the best place to raise a family. helens all about power and domination (probably in the bedroom aswell, ahh bad image) john key actually cares about newzealanf you can see by the way he argues his points.

  • Labour = spend your tax money (unwisely usually)strangles the economy

National = give you some of your taxes back and grow the economy

Its that simple, without national there would have been no tax cuts...

  • Carmen Mc Dougle is fucking hot! The most entertaining bit of this clip was staring at her rack. It doesnt matter what either puppet says because we all know nothing ever happens for citizens, only the upper capitalistic echelons of society. Either way, send us a tell Carm, rather listen to you then these tools

  • Thanks for the extra week off work labour but I dont really want to pay tax so you put adds on prime time TV about things that everyone knows they shouldn't do. Government spending is out of control and has been for Ten years. Time for a change eh.

  • At least under a labour government the lower to middle classes are supported, and those classes that make up the majority of the work force. Support those that need it, not the executive businessmen with their three figure salaries. Key is in politics to help out his mates buy new yachts and earn more money. Not raise minimum wages. Helen is right she has the experience and international connections to ease the econmic crises, its a global problem I wouldnt trust a political novice like Key

  • why do you have a problem with 'the executive businessmen' on three figure salaries. Should we all earn 95 a week?

Why is Helen in Politics? oh yeh thats all she's ever done.

  • to hell with them both im voting maori party. better policies.

  • I agree with Fulton, im a Kiwi migrant to Australia its ridiculous how many of us there are over here. There needs to be some mediation between NZ and AUS so Australian Departement of Immigration can put a cap on NZ Migrants

    End the Brain Drain

  • My brother is leaving NZ for Australia for a job that pays him double than what he would've got in NZ.

I wonder what NZ will be like if Helen loses and she's not our figure head anymore. I can't wait for it, that's for sure.

  • The shower and the lightbulb issue is something Kim Jong Ill would come outwith. Yes Helen - you suck upto the hippys - and thats the sort of crap they come out with.

  • you need to stop your people migrating overseas to places like Australia, your work force diminishes dramatically every year. That will always be a huge economic issue.

    then again im from Australia.

  • personally i would rather be happier without a socialist way of life, money isnt everything,we can be happy without being told how to breathe. Its a WAY of life.Life under Clark is too oppressive, its like living under a black cloud.Lets get back to families not left wing nannies.I think thats why so many Kiwis have gone as well as monetary reasons. We hate being told how to live by the nannies that have never had a family.

  • haha, socialism clearly worked....

  • yeh I would much rather ride a unicycle 50km to work than fly on a jet pack. Actually we don't need either of those, we should just walk nude everywhere, fuck enterprise and the competitive nature of the human being.

  • 9 years, that is enough!

  • It's curious that you accuse John Key of being "full of false promises". Do you have an proof of this? Has he even had the chance to not fullfill a promise he has made? Should we mention Helen Clark and the promised tax cuts (which only got bought in when Labour had their balls squeezed in a vice in election year)? Kettle.... meet the pot.

  • HAHAHA THANK YOU!!!! i completely agree!!!!!!!!

  • THE SHOWER LADY LOL

  • Key says low interest rates help young home buyers. Low interest rates doubled house prices over about 5 years. As a result, the deposit-gap is the biggest problem. High interest rates will help young home buyers because low interest rates simply inflate asset prices and steal from future generations. Recent increases in interest rates have reduced house prices. Unfortunately , economically NZ is not an island and must follow the deeply-flawed US economic policies.

  • Interest rates havn't fueled house prices. When interest rates increase it increases mortage payments. House price increases have happened because of high demand in the last 10years of people buying into housing and the people that have been buying most of the housing are investors looking to make a sure buck!

  • I think if you do a little research you will realise that low interest rates cause asset-bubbles in income-earning assets. Many bubbles eventually burst - as is now happening in the US. NZ and Australia have the highest or almost the highest house prices in the world relative to incomes. The reason the investors flocked to buy houses was initially caused by stocks rising forcing them to look elsewhere for a return on capital using borrowed money. House prices fall very slowly relative to stocks.

  • we are headed for double digit interest rates (after the short term lowering at present has become impossible to sustain) The money supply is going to dry up big time around the world. No NZ government can change that.

  • I really don't know whether that will happen. Can't the central bank just create more credit for the banks to lend? IE. "Print more money". I am inclined to give the Clark Govt credit for seeing the error of the ways of the US starting in 2001. Clark and co pressured (as I see it) the Reserve Bank to raise rates to bring the housing bubble under control. It is too easy for some political clowns to call for lower rates - it is popular. Whether rates escalate because of lack of liquidity???

  • NZ is an economy completely dependent on exports. To export we need buyers. To get buyers we need friends in markets... Or similar logic...

At the least you need someone trustworthy in the export market to liaise/facilitate. Especially in new markets (Denmark and Norway). If you are a supporting the NZ economy and wish to work towards building bridges to markets in the EU currently extremely under represented, get in touch. matt[at]webhaven[dot]eu - NZ'er based in DK, ready to help where I can.

  • Key dominates on the economy.

Helen has no answers to nine years of failure and an economy in a deep recession.

  • How does Aunty Helen know what happens in Johns home... where does she get off slaggin' someone like that (low blow) ...aint no points gained here for this ruling diva ;-)

  • I don't get it - Key says the government is in deficit but then says what else he is going to do which is still going to cost money so I'm a bit confused how he'll do this any better than Labour has?

  • Key holds the key...

  • Keys is brilliant

  • No plural.
