How come Europe police cars are always so well marked? Like white and striped with orange or yellow? America cop cars are mostly black, silver or blue, and have tinted windows. I'm just curious?

my guess is that cop cars in the US are black and white so that they can sorta blend in so no one will see them, but i really don't know either.

But they're meant to be highly visible. The purpose of police is not just to arrest criminals but also to deter them from committing any crime in the first place. You don't normally want to be hiding, and if you do you use an unmarked vehicle with plain clothes officers.

In America, for some reason, you often put the grille lights in front of the grille in unmarked police cars? Why would that be?

So that they're easier to see when responding at high speeds. We have unmarked cars if we want to be discreet.

@LegacyZXT health and safety laws in UK and Europe mean litigation is a HUGE problem for all emergency services, using a ridiculous amount of flashing lights and markings means it is harder for people to sue if they have a collision with a speeding cop-car/ambulance, it's harder to use the defence "but I didn't see it coming, sped out of nowhere".

IMHO America is no where near as litigious as the UK is now, you can sue over the most frivolous things and usually get a huge amount of money.

@LegacyZXT Police in America have the idea that Stealthy police cars will catch the crims in the act so they stealth up. Europe however believes in marking up the cars as best as possible as if to say "Don't even think about it, mate."

@Harvey142009 They both are equipped with sirens, as you hear a yelp/wail before the camera turns. The 2nd bike was the one with the siren on when they turn.

Great video. Those 2 bikes are from the Diplomatic Protection Group which is why they are dressed in black rather than yellow as traffic ones would be
