Much of the criticism of Todd Bentley is based on people preaching cessationalism - the doctrine that healing and prophecy cannot exist today. This is an unbiblical doctrine. However, another thrust of the criticism is to apply to Todd Bentley scriptures without justification - in other words, using a pseudo-prophetic gift to wisely apply scripture. Adultery is a sin he has acknowledged, but he speaks of the church not believing in the supernatural. Does your local church?
I REALLY hate to be pedantic, but...there is a HUGE difference between the words "IT'S" and "ITS".
"IT'S" means "IT IS".
"ITS" means "Something belonging to IT."
EVERY TIME you used "IT'S", you really should have used "ITS". This wouldn't be so bad -- lots of people make the "IT'S/ITS" mistake -- but you made the same mistake in transcribing SCRIPTURE. In other words, YOU MISQUOTED SCRIPTURE.

There are things associated with Todd Bentley that speak of his immaturity. For some, he fails to live up to their ideas of how a leader should behave. But such people seen to neglect the fact that God blessed such a man with a mighty and powerful revival which awakened many to God's ability to work in a supernatural way and draw many to seek healing and restoration. Do you believe God has got it all wrong in blessing such a ministry? Shouldn't He conform to our own ideas, not His ways?

Much of the criticism of Todd Bentley is based on people preaching cessationalism - the doctrine that healing and prophecy cannot exist today. This is an unbiblical doctrine. However, another thrust of the criticism is to apply to Todd Bentley scriptures without justification - in other words, using a pseudo-prophetic gift to wisely apply scripture. Adultery is a sin he has acknowledged, but he speaks of the church not believing in the supernatural. Does your local church?

I REALLY hate to be pedantic, but...there is a HUGE difference between the words "IT'S" and "ITS".
"IT'S" means "IT IS".
"ITS" means "Something belonging to IT."
EVERY TIME you used "IT'S", you really should have used "ITS". This wouldn't be so bad -- lots of people make the "IT'S/ITS" mistake -- but you made the same mistake in transcribing SCRIPTURE. In other words, YOU MISQUOTED SCRIPTURE.

How do you know if your INTERPRETATION of scripture is correct? Or do you listen to other peoples interpretations. Our understanding and intellect is limited and often unreliable. How can we tell if ours (or someone else's) interpretation of scripture is right or not?

Todd Bentleys 'revival' is like so many of your dead Churches. 1 person standing in front of an audience, the audience only resposible for agreeing or disagreeing with the person on the stage. A real Church will have real power and use it for a lost and dying world. The real moves of God do have healings and power, but they lack people who will take credit for it.

Vinnie - your information is the same as mine - it comes from Fresh Fire Ministries. You need to read it more carefully. He was not in sexual immorality until after the revival finished. He seperated from his wife afterwards. He did start drinking towards the end rather than waiting on God. That is a sign of burn out.

The guy leads the greatest healing revival in America since the 50s, leads powerful healing crusades around the world, God moves powerfully through him to "destroy the works of the evil one", people are set free. I've listened to a lot of his podcasts and read one of his books. This guy has more genuine passion for Jesus, anointed power and revelation of God than anyone I ever met. The Lord has used him to transform my life, and wow - thank you God for what this guy has imparted to me.

I bet you think the same thing concerning Jim Jones, in 50 years the church will look back and say - WoW, that man was a powerful man of God"
Let me remind you that those you call "Religious people" are the same ones that warned the church concerning Jim Jones, they didn't listen either now their dead.
What Todd has imparted to you was deception, and it will show up somewhere in your life. God does not anoint a man that is drinking, having an affair and kicking his kids to the curb! Sorry!

We as Christians have every right to judge between truth & a lie.
