Even though the country doesn't carry out such violent acts, they're nevertheless supporting the industry. In PETA, it was stated that China exports more than 50 percent of the fur requested overseas. When the buying stops, the killing can too! Don't buy fur, first of all! Even now this year shops on the high street in London are selling leather and fur goods with fur from China. All the shops to is change labels. Or buy goods from 3rd parties, where the country of origin is changed. Last year we sent a notice to the British Embassy in Taipei our capitol to them them furs from China were entering the UK though other channels. We had all the paperwork proof. Know what they told us? Sorry we can not help you, there is nothing we can do.

Well I there was an importer in the UK who had been buying fur from a supplier in China for 3 years, until it came out in 2001 that he knew it was from dogs and cats. At Animals Taiwan we have a 13 year old girl that started a campaign against buying any animal care products from China and she got the government to ban all imported animals products from China banned.

I understand that the Chinese have different customs and eat different types of foods, but the way they do it is very inhumane and they need to realize that; and everyone else needs to realize it too. And just because a person eats meat doesn't mean that they hate animals. I love animals to death and I still eat meat (mind you we need to cut back some).
