  • STD STD STD! haha sounds so wrong

  • oh !!! fuckin love this song and SAVES THE DAY !!!!!!!!!

  • Just a SIC tune...love the accoustic version of this song...love how he announces ... "this song is callled this is not an exit"

  • for over a decade this song has made me feel better no matter what is going on. best song ever.

  • @fkingnapoleon Agreed. My favorite STD song, so powerful.

  • FUCK and i live in Rochester, NY!! how can i NOT now this?!

  • not a fan of his Under the Boards voice, i loved his this album though (stay what you are) and prefer his voice in that.. love love love.

  • hahha wtf simple plan who? shut up teenager. let us enjoy our golden years.

  • chris conley being compared to simple plan should result in prison time

  • I bet his voice would sound good if he would just improvise to what it sounds like now. Instead of imitating what he used to do with his "old" voice.

  • listend to this song over and over and over this summer after a friend of mine killed herself. It holds a special place in my heart. STD <3

  • his voice does change on every cd and his voice is still great on every cd the only one i didnt like his voice on at all was the Two Toungues cd. and i saw them 2 weeks ago today and he sounded great std was the best band there and they are the ones out of that show that ive been listening to the least. he still is just as amzing as he was on Through.

  • when did billy corgan join STD?

  • @chriswright780 Haha yah there are quite a lot of similarities in their voice now that you point it out. Thats not a bad thing though. I love both singers.

  • yeah his voice changed but you also got to think its acoustic and people always sing defferent.

  • great recording

  • he had to change his voice to save it, you know, so he could continue singing for years to come.

  • baaaah.....critics...whatever happened to jus havin fun...gotta be about the money huh

  • chris's voice changes on every album

  • I actually prefer Chris' "new" voice over his "old" one... It seemed like he used to just shout into the mic.

P.S. Dave Soloway was an underrated part of Saves The Day; great guitar harmonies

  • Is it just me or should Chris Conley at least go down in history in some way? I don't know for what, but the music he writes is just unreal. Look at the fans Saves the Day has had over the years. He obviously has done something right.

  • My absolute favorite song by them in an absolute perfect setting.

  • i found saves the day in 2005 at warp tour my favorite band at the time was senses fail chris played before he blew me away then senses fail played and i was like man buddy nelson (i think thats his name) sucks compard to chris and im still a std fan prob for life now

  • one of my fav bands growing up but what happend to his voice?

  • whiney huh?

  • to breathe in the air will be the only thing that we have!

  • ummm, his voice changed, kinda like he has some mocus inside his nose or sumtin...

  • If you only like Saves the Day in their early years, your not a real fan, and you don't know what real music is.. You suck!

  • did you really just compare Chris Conley to the singer from Simple Plan...you should be ashamed of yourself for even taking the effort to type that mindless comment.

  • I get that, but the guy from Simple Plan is nowhere near as genius as Chris. You shouldn't discredit him for it by comparing him to some guy from some crappy Pop band.

  • You're right, he's not. But his singing reminds me of the SP guy. It's not as bad, but I still don't like it.

  • @tracitay51 chris conley being compared to simple plan should result in prison time

  • i still love his voice, but "in reverie"... this was his best "vocal-time"

wish he'd sing like that back again :I

  • woah...he sounds so different. Kind of whiny. The song's good though.

  • this is my favorite song :)

  • who cares if his voice changed ppl! it sounded great then and it sounds great now!!

  • yea hes awesome! i kind of like this song more with his voice now than then..

  • @hiles2010 not really, his voice here kinda ruins the song

  • somewhere along the line he started to sound like someone trying to cover Saves the Day. Probably In Reverie.

  • you're a fucking idiot. you dont know shit.

  • In no way, shape, or form am I an idiot. Especially about Saves The Day. I have been a fan since the beginning. Because you don't like the facts, you got vagina hurt. What I stated is a fact. He changed his singing style drastically.

  • thats interesting. They went to my high school, PDS, and when I was in 6th grade the drummer's mom taught my social studies clasa and brought the whole band in before they were big to talk and perform to our class. They sounded incrediblyh similar 9 years ago

  • Just because you know them personally does not mean you need to get your ears cleaned out if you haven't noticed how nasally his voice has gotten. I know he's always had a high-pitched unrefined voice, but he's singing from his head now. Not my cup of tea.

  • don't*

  • you have to understand how difficult on someone's voice it must be to sing like he did on TBC and SWYA. i believe he had to make a softer transition in order to preserve his voice.

  • Yeah. That makes sense. I really doubt he woke up one day and was like "I'm gonna change my voice today". It probably just happened naturally, because like you said, singing the way he did before wasn't easy. In one of his videos in the back alley, playing "Hold" I think it was, he said how much it tolled his voice to sing it.

  • he is not singing in a different key or anything. He is just putting that punk twang on it, but it sounds so forced. There are two types of fans, those who will love anything the band does no matter what, or those that hold the musicians accountable for their mistakes as well as laud them for their successes. I'm one of the latter. CSD, TBC, and SWYA are great albums, and they were good live. They no longer are.

  • just because you change your vocal style doesn't mean its still not saves the day. His voice has just matured a lot.. and weakened a little. In reverie was a great album.. I felt that was very saves the day like.

  • and just because this is actually Chris Conley doesn't mean i have to like what he does with his voice now. This is Not An Exit is probably my favorite STD song and this version is just awful.

  • i agree. when i seen them like 5 years ago it was not like this.

  • Fyi...this is Saves The Day.....

  • @Velourium amen brother - used to be awesome beyond belief, but how it;s just nasal. I heard he changed his style cos his voice used to break up on every tour.

  • one of my favourite songs of all time

  • kayla likes this song..

  • saves the day is awesome =) <3

  • saves the day is timeless

  • awesome song

  • Loves it ^^
