I'm sorry but to all the Sephiroth fans out their, Sephiroth's power is greatly exaggerated, ecspecially when you compare his to the other FF villains, Neo Exdeath, Kefka, Ultimecia, Kuja, and Cloud of Darkness are all villains that are more powerful than Sephie.

Sephiroth is no where near as powerful as people make him out to be, because remember the only reason Sephiroth is even half as powerful as he is is becuase he inherited the Cell's from his surrogate mother Jenova through his paternal mother lucrecia.

I'm sure that if Vergil had been able to achieve his Father Sparda's power, then Vergil would have given Sephie a run for his money cause Sparda was the most powerful demon warrior in all the underworld.

Dante did not own Vergil, Vergil owned Dante in their first fight, fought to a stand still in their second, and another stand still in their third until it was decided with the last blow Dante managed to land on Vergil. Being twins their very equally powerful, but I would consider Vergil to be technically the more skillful of the two, but being so equal Dante obviously had a fair shot of defeating him, which he did, but he did not "own" him.

youre right. there was no ownage. but i have to disagree about one point. i do think dante is stronger. while virgil did release his DT sooner then dante dante's is more powerfull. and even if its not he's got sparda form, which he unlocked by himself. vergil had to go to mundas to get Nelo Angelo. (thats the theory anyways). and besides being twins wouldnt give them the same power. there complete opposites. the only thing the same about them is there looks. and thats not even completely right.

I would say in DMC 3 they are quite equal, how ever later in the series there may be more of a gap in their abilities. How ever, Vergil seemed to be the more technical at the beginning of DMC, not necessarily being stronger, but more skilled though the difference begins to change. If everyone's suspicions are correct and Capcom are trying to come up with a way to bring Vergil back, I suppose we'll see if they are anywhere close to the same level when he returns.

I dunno about strength/speed. It's more like style. Katana is meant for precision and elegance. Rebellion is more of a broad sword, being ore balanced and so Dante's style reflects the sword's balanced capability. Not because Vergil was faster and Dante stronger, they obviously were equal to the end.

That and Dante didn't realize what to fight for, as if trying to fight Vergil with the same mind set "more power" in Dante's case, because his brother was behind the attacks. And so it wasn't until he defined his "purpose" was he able to beat his brother, because he found something to fight for where as Vergil was purely for himself while sacrificing many.

If not then you have no idea of the power of Sephirot,to match him Vergil would at the very least need his fathers power. I have played every DMC and every Final Fantasy and i garantee you that Vergil still needs alot more power before holding his own against Sephirot.And Mundus defeated Vergil then imprisioned him,forcing him to serve him for eternity.And the meteor can destroy the earth so i care.

Sephiroth's sword is capable of cutting off about 1/8 of a skyscraper with one swing. That, and his spells (which aren't seen in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, by the way) can either shake the earth, destroy it, or destroy it AND the rest of the solar system.
