They have done better because they can skate... Virtue and moir and davis and white can't skate.. .they don't even have clean turns in their footworks. . . If you know anything technical about skating (ice dance in particular) check the rules for foot works then look at Igor's teams foot works. Technically they should be called level 2. not 4.
You are SO right. I think I had already said it in another video but I´m glad there´s people who understand that in step sequences issues Linichuk teams are in a different division. I have nothing against D/W or V/M, actually I have to congratulate Shphilband for his originality in spins and lifts.
Those french commentators are hilarious yes because they aren't politically correct! And they talk with lots of images as we say! But most of the time they are right and they say what we think too...

What has happened to the European champions- K/N? They're just not themselves in LA. Their FD is quite good though.
They definitely deserved to win the OD. Job well done on being the cleanest team, not to mention the obvious improvement in their skating!
However, I cannot stand this OD. The main problem is they said it's a tap dance-there is NOTHING tap about this OD whatsoever. And I still don't buy her expression.

Well if there is nothing tap about their OD, then they can't have deserved their first place. An OD is not a FD, it is ALL about being as close as possible to the style of dance you have chosen. So if you don't do that, then your OD is a bad OD...

Yes, actually after watching the others I understand their first place a little better. I still think they were overmarked for an OD that's really not very traditional-looking but the Russians were even worse and made mistakes. The other Americans should have won the OD, IMHO.
No, the original dance is all about being "traditional". Which doesn't mean that you cannot have unique moves, too, but you have to show that you can be creative while at the same time conveying the traditional aspect of the dance. That's the whole point of the original dance. There is the free dance for being really creative and not traditional (and unfortunately, they often are way too traditional in the free dance!)
