@a1sauce0806 That's actually quite typical. Even if Asus had built in a slot that could be upgraded like desktops, the thermal profile of faster GPUs is just too high compared to the GTS 360m. That's a 35 watt card. I'm pretty sure the GTX 460m is at least 65 watts. That's a much hotter card. The GTS 360m in mine is already running around 82 degrees C. I wouldn't want to see how hot a 460 would get.

The only thing is the battery, i tend to play games and get 2 hours instead of 3, and like 4-4 and a half hours without gaming. instead of their 6 they said we should get. i was choosing between this laptop and the toshiba a665 3d gaming laptop and i choosed the toshiba because this laptop doesnt give much i mean only a backpack and a free mouse for like 300 bucks more then the toshiba because the toshiba was about 1500 when i bought it at frys and this laptop was 1700 most of the specs were the same except the asus has a little bit of a better graphics card and sound card but i mean id rather save up that 200 bucks

I was loking in amazon for a good computer and I really liked the G51JX-X3 but one reviewer said that while he was playing Call of Duty MW2 the computer shut down completely, and said that this happened with almost every game. @KILLERK0LT Depends on what your needs are. If its 3D you are looking for, then go with the G51-a1. As it utilizes the 360M Nvidia graphics chipset. The 360M is well and capable of running 3D games! With the use of Nvidia's 3D Discover feature or iZ3D drivers (Cyan/blue glasses). If its gaming and non 3D gaming, dual HDD and regular day to day work!? Then go with the G73jh-A1.... Simply put, its entirely up to you.

@barfumer In one word.....Yes, but keep in mind to have turbo on as well as high performance enabled. You should be fine and within the confines of about 30 fps +.

@ikamico You have to remember that every laptop/notebook will get hot under pressure. So if your asking if your "laptop/notebook" will get hot if you play your games on high performance......yes. But you should only see the normal temps of between 80c-90c Max!

@HolyNinja147 This laptop will and can run 3D Discover with the cyan/blue glasses. Like the ones that appear red and blue. It also looks awesome if you customize the frustum and viewing distance correctly! Its just a "Simple" calibration needed by you because nvidia is not responsible for pre-customizing 3D as everyone's eyes are different.

@SilenII All laptop graphic cards get hot. Its a normal occurrence, due to the tight enclosed space and all the components heat. The Graphics card gets hot, but, be aware that both ATI/Nvidia make die and heatsink/radiator solutions to combat the extra heat.
