@lvrsnvy It comes with quite a few sounds so you don't need any extra sound cards.

For $40 it is definitely worth picking up.

I presume this is pre-midi?

If not.. can you use it to control/play a rack synth?

@SONGSTICKS This machine has MIDI in, out, and thru. I have controlled other synths with it and vice versa. The note on and off events happen very quickly so sometimes that gives some unexpected resultes when controlling other synths with non-drum sounds.

I did a song where the DDD-1 controlled an Alesis QS 7.1 with the "Silvertone" guitar preset. Not trying to shamelessly promote myself but you can hear it on "Toward a Midnight" at Myspace DOT com SLASH cumulusnoise

Niiiice. I used to play around with one of these back in the days. But it was lacking any of the sound-cards. I allways wondered what they would have sounded like.

I think the unit is still stored in my basement. I'm now gonna dig it out for sure. Didn't it have a real nice roll/flam feature? Or am I mixing things up?

The sound cards show up on Ebay sometimes.

To assign the sounds to different outputs just use the martix buttons to select "output assign" and the cursor keys will let you select the different outputs.

I may have a couple of the sound cards for sale.

and how I can assign sounds (kick,snare ..etc) to a different (6)channels

I can help you with DDD questions.

You go to the assign column and press + or _

until you see the # of which output you want.

Contact if you have other questions, the sample he mentioned is a board you install into the

DDD1 to give it sampling options.
