I live w/o TV; have done so for many years. I've seen clips of his program online. (I've also read he makes $23 million/yr.) He's a shill for the corporate powers that be. I could easily rebut/demolish his infantile and uninformed opinions on any number of the things about which he has chosen to speak. The difference is he has access to an audience of millions, and I do not.

I'm currently reading this book for what I thought would be a good laugh. According to his Top Ten Bastards of All Time list, Keith Olbermann, Tiger Woods, FDR and Woodrow Wilson are all worse than Hitler, who places at #6. Booze. I need booze.

Beck's footnotes aren't scholarly, so having a citation doesn't mean anything if you're quoting a newspaper (example NY Times). Seeing as how Beck never excelled above high school, it's not surprising that his books only have a populist appeal rather than an intellectual one. Having read the book, there are rampant errors, factual distortions, red herrings and outright falsehoods. His book does to add to any constructive dialogue and succeeds only as further partisan hackery.

Communism has a success but capitalists and fascists always find ways to shut it down. See the propaganda movies produced in the USA during the cold war. Workers around the world constantly try to fight capitalism because it doesn't work. Look at the world today. A small percent is rich, most of the world is poor.

Glenn Beck and people like him think that the constitution was dropped down to us out of the asshole of God himself and they treat it as infallible second only to the bible. We all love the constitution, but there's a good reason why we amend it from time to time. You have to make that a policy when it's primary authors were wealthy slave owners who unironically declared that all men were created equal... Yeah, okay. The constitution changes over time, just like society.

I am saying that our 'politicians' are lap dogs for the bankers. The world is ran by bankers and corporations. The quote is not outdated; we still use fractional reserve banking and since 1971 have officially been off the gold standard. Jefferson was a very wise man that cared about our freedom from debt and from tyranical government.
