awesome playing. and you have a very Karr-eque bow arm in terms of your actual bow draw. It all comes from the shoulder with minimal wrist involvement. I think it's a method that works for few people (obviously Gary), but it's clearly working for you because your sound isn't stiff at all.
I would but I don't know...excerpts don't seem like a youtube-ish thing to post. Plus a lot of what I was trying to do with youtube videos was bring attention to little known pieces, like this one. Bottesini was an exception
@Snakewood87 there's more than one way to play the bass. any instrument to be honest. the vienise play sometimes with there bows pointing at 45 degrees and use open strings all the time, while some say open strings should be used to a minimum and the bow should be perfectly straight. my teacher prefers absolutely no wrist movement and all movements to be from the arm. so really, shut up
